Chapter 578 Fantastic Twins Arrive to Save the Day
In Martian Manhunter's vision, crimson smoke crept towards him bit by bit. Red lightning flickered within the smoke, looking extremely dangerous and intimidating.
The speed of the Gem was actually not slow, but for Martian Manhunter, who could catch up to the speed of light, he could still see its trajectory.
Watching the Reality Stone erode towards him, Yang Le's hand had long since moved to the Omnitrix. He could accept sacrificing the life of a clone, but he could not accept Thanos knowing his plan.
Once Thanos used the Reality Stone to change the reality of him being a Martian, then he would truly be at the mercy of the other party.
"Buzz!"
Blue light flashed past. The space around Yang Le became wrinkled like a plastic bag scorched by flame. The ripples produced by this shrinkage enveloped Yang Le, who was slumped on the ground.
Yang Le, enveloped within, quickly realized that he could not move. Combined with the blue light that had just lit up, it was very clear that Thanos had used the power of the Space Stone to imprison him at a point in space.
"I hate variables," Thanos said in a deep voice. "I have experienced countless wars, and I will not leave you with the opportunity to make small moves."
Yang Le was now as still as a statue sculpted by an artist. Facing the Reality Stone that was gradually eroding towards him, he had no method. However, the Omnitrix symbol on his chest began to rotate, and surging cosmic energy began to permeate outwards.
"Snap!"
A crisp snap of fingers. In Thanos's astonished gaze, a translucent thin film enveloped him and Yang Le together. Then, the smoke produced by the Reality Stone, which had just been so imposing, disappeared without a trace.
The Omnitrix symbol, which had rotated halfway clockwise, silently rotated back. The cosmic energy that had just been revealed also returned the way it came, as if nothing had happened.
Yang Le lowered his head. He had just broken free from the space imprisonment and noticed the abnormality of the Omnitrix. Although the Omnitrix was Azmuth's crystallization of wisdom, it itself did not possess the ability to transcend time and space.
Being able to rotate in nailed-down space was clearly Alien X's intention. It seemed that Mamon and Oz still cared about him. However…
Yang Le stretched his eyes out like a snail, looking up and down at himself. He was still in Martian form, and the Omnitrix had not been triggered, which meant that he had not transformed into Alien X. Then, the one who solved the Infinity Stones was not him, but someone else.
"Long time no see, Happy." A familiar male voice, sounding like it came from a teenager in puberty. However, because the other party deliberately lowered his voice, the originally clear voice became a sticky bubble sound.
"Stop making that dead sound, Little Franklin," a female voice suddenly interjected. "Mayday told me that sound is disgusting."
"What!? Really? Why didn't she tell me?"
Yang Le turned his protruding eyes in another direction. The first thing he saw was Valeria Richards wearing a lab coat, and Franklin Richards, whom he hadn't seen for a long time, wearing a sophisticated suit, combing his hair into an adult-like style, and wearing non-prescription glasses, dressed like a business elite.
Valeria rolled her eyes and said, "Because she didn't want to hurt your heart, so she had to entrust me to tell you."
"Mayday really said I'm disgusting?" Franklin asked anxiously.
"No, she just said you're a bit oily, disgusting is my own interpretation."
"Go to hell, Little Val!"
"Two! Two!" Yang Le called a halt to the arguing Fantastic Twins. "I don't think now should be family time. I have a big trouble here."
"Big trouble?" Franklin turned around and scanned his surroundings, finally looking at Yang Le with a puzzled expression.
"Where's the big trouble? Why can't I see it?"
Even Thanos, who was good at maintaining his composure, couldn't help but feel a bit of rage when faced with Franklin's neglect. Since he became famous, no one had ever dared to talk to him like this.
There was no such thing as swallowing one's anger in Thanos's dictionary, let alone that he now possessed five Infinity Stones. In today's universe, he really couldn't think of anyone who was his opponent.
Raising his left hand, although Thanos didn't know what method the other party used to block the Reality Stone, he still had the power of four other Gems to use. The other party couldn't possibly deal with the other four as well, right?
Thanos's mind moved, and he was about to activate the power of the Gems, but soon he noticed something was wrong. His peripheral vision did not see the brass-colored shadow, but only a purple shadow.
"Where's my Infinity Gauntlet?!" Thanos exclaimed in shock. The Infinity Gauntlet that should have been on his hand was now gone, leaving only a palm the same color as a purple sweet potato.
"It's with me, Purple Potato Star Person."
Thanos looked in the direction of the sound, and just in time to see Franklin waving his Infinity Gauntlet at him. The latter showed a sunlight smile after noticing that he had noticed him, and then lowered his head to examine the Infinity Gauntlet in his hand.
"Wow! Little Val, the Infinity Stones in this universe are completely different from those in our universe. The Reality Stone is actually red, and the Power Stone is actually purple, ah."
"Really?" Valeria became interested upon hearing this. In fact, the Fantastic Twins had long been tired of Infinity Stones in their universe. If Franklin hadn't said the colors were different, she might not have had even a shred of interest.
Seeing that the Gems he had painstakingly collected had been taken away, the string in Thanos's brain seemed to snap. He did not consider at all how big the gap in strength between the two sides should be since Franklin could take the Gloves away without him noticing. He was single-mindedly focused on getting back his Infinity Gauntlet.
Facing Thanos charging towards him, Franklin just shrugged, then snatched the Infinity Gauntlet from Valeria's hand and threw it to Thanos who was launching a charge.
"Stop yelling, if you want it so much, here you go."
Thanos looked blankly at the Infinity Gauntlet in mid-air. It was not until it was about to smash into his face that he reacted and clumsily caught the Infinity Gauntlet.
"Acting like it's some rare thing," Franklin sighed, then beckoned to Thanos with his finger. "Don't stand there blankly. If you want to use it so much, then go ahead and use it. If you can knock off even a single hair of mine, I'll consider it my loss, okay?"
Hearing Franklin say this, Thanos instead showed a trace of hesitation, but in the end, he still firmly put on the Infinity Gauntlet.
What prompted him to do so was not a pointless competitiveness, but the heavy burden on his shoulders. Thanos felt that he had a reason to keep moving forward, even if it meant being smashed to pieces.
A sense of mission made Thanos firm once again. He clenched his fist and activated the Space Stone, preparing to use space movement to sneak attack Franklin. However…
Nothing happened!
