Chapter 493: The Agile Dog in the Mountains

Just as Susan was losing all hope, a sound like a large canine running came from not far away. In the blink of an eye, an orange beast burst out from who knows where, rushing straight at the Giant's back.

Once its sharp claw hooked into the Giant's flesh, a Vulpimancer, having steadied itself, opened its bloody maw and bit down on the Giant's neck. Fangs as sharp as a sword embedded themselves as easily as cutting tofu, and scalding, fluorescent green blood immediately gushed out, pouring straight into the Vulpimancer's throat.

This green blood, with its excessive radiation levels, was a poison that most species would avoid like the plague, but for the Vulpimancer, it was not just palatable, but a delightful feast.

After all, Vulpimancers lived on Vapid Star, a place heavily polluted. Not to mention the sky and land there, even the flowing water was colored. This led to the creatures living there developing some degree of resistance.

But this was still not enough to support them living on the surface of Vapid Star, because the pollution there was too severe. Almost no creature could survive on its surface for long. All species on Vapid Star had to compromise for survival, choosing to live underground where it was slightly safer.

Therefore, a certain amount of poison or radiation was acceptable to the Vulpimancer. It was just like bullwhip and similar things – your body might be able to adapt, but your heart might not necessarily accept it.

Yang Le was in just such a state of mind. By the time he came back to his senses, he was already biting down. This was all thanks to the Vulpimancer's hunting instinct, which allowed him to taste fresh radiation.

Clean and hygienic, brothers.

"Awoo!"

The Giant roared in pain, both hands reaching back towards the Vulpimancer on its back. At this moment, its back had already been torn to shreds by the Vulpimancer's claw, and the green blood had stained the Vulpimancer's entire body, making it look like something from a harmonized biological documentary.

Although the Giant reached out to grab behind it, it still couldn't catch the agile Vulpimancer. This was because it didn't need to use eyes to see. It could combine its excellent senses, integrating the information they received in its brain, thereby forming a 3D pattern unrestricted by viewing angle.

This meant that the Vulpimancer could obtain all nearby information almost simultaneously, and there was no such thing as 'missing' something. This was the reason why Vulpimancers were so agile. They could fully utilize the surrounding terrain to showcase their physical advantage.

Just as the Giant was racking its brain trying to grab the Vulpimancer on its back, the latter had once again used its claw to open dozens of wounds on its back. Some places had even suffered secondary damage and were already deep enough to see bone.

The Giant was both anxious and angry. Helplessly, it moved its legs away from the flower shop doorway, retreating and crashing into the wall on the side. Sensing the Giant's intention, the Vulpimancer immediately abandoned the Giant and actively leaped towards the wall.

The sharp claw hooked into the wall, and the Vulpimancer ran on the wall as if walking on flat ground. Finally free from the Vulpimancer, the Giant roared in fury, bellowing and leaping high into the sky towards the Vulpimancer hooked on the wall.

"Bang!"

The Giant crashed heavily into the high-rise, but the Vulpimancer relied on its agile body to take a step ahead and dodge. The Giant, missing its attack, did not give up. Unlike the Vulpimancer running on the wall, it instead rampaged inside the building.

The Giant didn't need to make way for walls and obstacles, directly relying on its powerful body to break through head-on, like a bulldozer rumbling through the building, chasing the Vulpimancer outside the building, and even occasionally smashing through the wall to reach out and grab the Vulpimancer.

Under the efforts of these two demolition workers, this building, which was already on the verge of collapse, was now even more precarious. Reed dared not miss this good opportunity and quickly called Susan. He was responsible for Ben, and Susan was responsible for Johnny. The couple worked together to move the two from the flower shop.

"We have to leave here." Reed didn't know how many similar words he had said today, but this was indeed the most important business they should do now. Susan nodded. Their mission once again returned to finding a transportation tool.

Originally, Johnny could still walk, but now even Ben had fainted, so they could only find a car. With Ben's tall figure, no one here could carry him.

Similar to Reed and the others who had fallen into a predicament, Yang Le at this time also felt powerless. The Vulpimancer's strength was really insufficient to deal with the enemy in front of him. After a brief exchange, Yang Le had already equated him with the Hulk.

"Rumble!"

The building structure underfoot began to tilt. Under the ravages of Yang Le and the Giant, this building finally couldn't hold on and began to topple towards the ground. Taking advantage of the building's tilt, Yang Le jumped towards another high-rise. Seeing its goal escape, the Giant also jumped out of the building and reached out to grab Yang Le in mid-air.

The Giant's speed was undoubtedly faster than the Vulpimancer's. The reason Yang Le could entangle with it for so long was due to his excellent senses and agile body, but these were undoubtedly useless in the helpless mid-air.

Seeing the Giant's hand getting closer and closer, without Yang Le needing to worry, the Omnitrix automatically activated the protection function. Under the dazzling white light, Yang Le's body underwent a change.

The white light stung the Giant's eyes, making it unable to open them. When the annoying white light dissipated, a creature it had never seen before replaced the beast that had annoyed it.

The newly appeared creature looked bizarre. The skin exposed on its body was all deep purple. On its head, which was like an anvil, there were four white eyes, distributed in the front, back, left, and right directions of the head.

Its body was a standard inverted triangle figure. Under the white tight suit, one could clearly see the bulging muscle. Compared to its muscle distribution, which was different from humans, what was even stranger were its limbs.

Its arms looked extremely intimidating. It did not have a forearm like humans, but instead possessed a pair of cone-shaped black shells. On the outside of the shell, there were also three milky white V-shaped crystals embedded. Its legs were relatively short compared to its arms, but they were also cone-shaped like its arms.

On both sides of its body, neck, and thighs, there were also V-shaped milky white crystals like on its arms.

The Giant's already small brain experienced a brief shutdown after seeing the opponent's transformation. Before it could figure out what was going on, this suddenly appeared creature launched an attack on it.

It was seen that the white crystal on one of its arms suddenly detached, turning into three rectangular panels of the same size. At the same time, the cone-shaped forearm also changed. Not only did the crack where the crystal panels were stored close up, but the originally hard cone shape also became as soft as an octopus tentacle.

In the next instant, the opposite side used its soft tentacles to lash out at the Giant.
