Chapter 487 The world is still full of good people
Yang Le lowered his head, put his nose to the Ground, and began searching for the remaining 'Message'.
This process was very difficult. As a large Supermarket, Walmart's customer traffic could only be described as terrifying. Relatively speaking, White People and Black People had stronger Body Odor, and with the influence of other Environment factors, accurately finding the Goal was not an easy task.
Moreover, in the Air, Yang Le also smelled a particularly strong Smell of Chemicals. It seemed to be the aftermath work done by the Troops, which undoubtedly added a lot of difficulty to Yang Le's retrieval of Message.
And, most crucially, Yang Le didn't know what Target No. 1 himself smelled like beforehand, so Yang Le's current behavior was no exaggeration to call a wild goose chase.
Of course, Yang Le had anticipated these difficulties, but why did he still transform into **Wildmutt**? Naturally, it was because of one point mentioned in the Military information—Heart.
Whether it was the process of digging out the Heart or the time the Heart was exposed, Blood must have flowed out. According to the Report submitted by the Thunderbolts, it was mentioned that Target No. 1's Heart was dug out when he transformed into a Giant.
The Thunderbolts were able to make this Judgment without witnessing it firsthand, which meant there was only one possibility: the size of the Heart discovered was far larger than a normal Human Heart.
A Giant's Heart wasn't just large in size; its Blood production must also have been astonishing. It was evident from the previous battles that the Blood loss was enormous.
This indicated that although the place looked brand new, not long ago, there must have been Blood here like a pool of Water. In such a short Time, the Military was able to clear all the Blood and spray Chemical Reagent to cover up the Blood Smell, which was quite remarkable.
However, for Yang Le, who had transformed into **Wildmutt**, these were only superficial measures. After using his Brain to process Odor Molecules for a while, Yang Le indeed discovered a very 'obvious' Smell.
This Smell gradually became clearer in **Wildmutt's** 'Eyes'. In **Wildmutt's** Line of Sight, a blood-red Road gradually became distinct. How could it be described?
Right, it was like the Pathfinding System in a Game. After determining the Goal on the Map, a line would appear on the Map or Road to guide you to the Goal.
"Hululu!"
Yang Le let out a satisfied low growl, and strode forward on all fours, following the blood-red line continuously.
...
"Huff~ Huff~ Huff!"
In an Alley where Sunlight couldn't reach, a Guy wearing a purple Hoodie was panting heavily. A strand of golden hair that had fallen from under his Hoodie was already soaked with sweat and stuck together.
The oversized Hoodie hung loosely on the Guy, like a tablecloth draped over him, looking strange no matter how you looked at it.
However, this wasn't the strangest thing. There was a large patch of red on the Guy's chest, which was very conspicuous even on the purple Clothes.
"This won't work," the Guy said, standing up from the Ground. "Those Guys will catch up soon."
The Guy wasn't sure how long his Illusion could deceive those People. Days of Experiment Life had instilled a Fear of the Army and Scientists in him. He always imagined the Army People as terrifying and felt that staying in one place for too long might lead to being caught.
He couldn't use that Power anymore. That Feeling was like drowning, his whole body powerless, watching helplessly as he was swallowed by the bottomless Sea Water. The Feeling of gradually losing Consciousness filled the Guy with Fear.
The Guy had a Feeling that as he used that Power more often, one day his Consciousness would be completely swallowed and he would never be able to change back.
So, the Guy resolved that unless absolutely necessary, he wouldn't use that Power again. He was just a nobody, with no Super Hero Dream, and no desire to become a Super Villain. He just wanted to Life.
If it weren't to cure his Cancer, he wouldn't have participated in this Experiment. Now, it was good that the Cancer was cured, but he had also turned into a Monster.
"Rumbling."
The Sound of a Car Engine approached. The Guy, like a frightened Bird, subconsciously shrank further into the Alley, but Curiosity compelled him to peek outside.
Thank goodness, it wasn't an Army Car, just a common Old Ford. That Car's outrageous Fuel consumption was its most notable feature. In normal circumstances, the Guy wouldn't have given this Car a second glance.
"If it weren't for the Situation, I wouldn't ride in this Car even if someone invited me."
"Spare me, **Johnny**," **Susan** in the passenger seat said irritably. "Finding a usable Car is good enough."
"I just Hope it can get us to the Safe Area," **Reed**, gripping the Steering wheel, said pessimistically. He had just glanced at the Car's Fuel Gauge, and it didn't inspire optimism.
"Save your Stamina, everyone," **Ben** said casually, leaning back in his seat. "If this Car breaks down, we'll have to walk. Conserving Stamina now is the priority."
"You've got a point, buddy," **Reed** said, giving a Thumb up.
"Whatever you say," **Ben** shrugged.
"There's someone up ahead, **Reed**," **Susan** said, squinting.
Following **Susan's** reminder, **Reed** also noticed a Person standing by the Road, face obscured. The Person was holding out his Right Hand, Thumb up, seemingly wanting a ride.
"What do you think?" **Reed** quietly slowed down, asking for the Opinion of the others in the Car.
"I think it's best not to meddle in other people's Business," **Johnny** said listlessly. His Injury prevented him from acting like a Young People in his twenties.
"I say we help," **Ben** stated.
"Of course, I'll consider both your opinions," **Reed** said.
"Help him, **Reed**," **Susan** chimed in.
Actually, **Reed** didn't want to help. If he had extra Strength, he wouldn't mind lending a hand, but he and his Partner were already in danger themselves. Helping others would be foolish, wouldn't it?
**Reed** remained silent, pressing the Accelerator harder, deciding to speed off and ignore the stranger.
The Guy watched the Car accelerate, his Gaze dimming. Although he hadn't held much Hope to begin with, the Feeling of being ignored and abandoned was truly unpleasant.
'I'll have to find a Method myself,' the Guy sighed.
"Screech!"
The Guy watched the Car stop in front of him. The Gaze that had just dimmed reignited. There are still good people in the world.
However, **Reed** in the driver's seat was so frustrated he wanted to slam the Steering wheel.
