Chapter 397 Troy and Diana

Yang Le raised his right hand again, preparing to punch the metal plate underfoot one more time to break it, but Wonder Woman stopped him.

"You're making too much noise." Diana drew her sword. "Let me handle it."

Yang Le shrugged and honestly stepped aside. Facing the Sword of Hephaestus, which could cut subatomic particles, his fist was indeed somewhat inadequate. It was better to obediently step back at this point.

Diana was just about to extend her sword above the metal plate to cut it when they heard a rumbling sound. Both of them looked up, but because they were in a low position, even though their line of sight far exceeded that of an ordinary person, they couldn't see anything.

But whatever was making the noise didn't keep them waiting long. In less than a minute, they saw a group of soldiers wearing unknown military uniforms appear above the pit that Yang Le had created.

"They're Byalia soldiers," Diana explained to Yang Le beside her. "It seems the noise you made earlier was too loud and attracted them."

"My fault," Yang Le honestly admitted. Just now, his brain had gotten heated and he hadn't thought about the consequences at all. Diana had clearly mentioned before that there was a military base nearby, yet he still made such a big commotion.

"So what do we do now? Negotiate or force our way through?"

"Of course, we negotiate. There's no reason for these ordinary people to bear the consequences of my fight with Circe." Diana sheathed her sword and called out loudly to the surrounding soldiers.

"Soldiers of Byalia, I apologize for not only arriving uninvited but also causing damage to your nation. However, there is a reason for all of this. I am Diana, Princess of the Amazon, Wonder Woman. I am searching for my mother's killer, and I received news that she is beneath this ground. Please do not stop me."

"Respected Wonder Woman," a character who was dressed differently from the ordinary soldiers, clearly a commander of some kind, stepped forward and said to Wonder Woman.

"We are saddened by your unfortunate situation, but Your Excellency is currently standing on our Byalia military building, which is a state secret. No one is allowed to enter without the President's permission, so we can only reluctantly refuse your request."

"I am merely notifying you, not seeking your agreement," Wonder Woman said, drawing her sword again. "If I do not find my enemy beneath here, I will apologize for this. But if I do find my enemy within Byalia's military building, then I hope Byalia can give me a reasonable explanation."

To reiterate, Diana, before being a superhero, is first and foremost a warrior, and moreover, a warrior cultivated by the Amazonians. Diana, who grew up in that kind of environment, being able to politely inform the Byalia soldiers, who might be harboring her mother's killer, of the situation's details is already considered very polite.

Yang Le thought that it wasn't impossible for Diana to completely ignore these ordinary people. In the infinite DC Universe, the vast majority of Wonder Women are quite impatient. For example, the Diana from the "Injustice League" Universe or the "Flashpoint" Universe, those are paradigms of impatience. Killing someone over a disagreement is not impossible.

The Diana in front of Yang Le could really be considered one of the few exceptions.

"Since Your Excellency insists on this, then we can only counterattack." As soon as the commander finished speaking, the soldiers surrounding the pit had already aimed their guns at the two of them. They were mostly ordinary guns, which was consistent with Byalia's poor identity.

Seeing this, Yang Le decided to transform into **Gutrot**, preparing to use sleeping gas to make these soldiers dizzy. After all, they could only be considered innocent passersby, and they also had to protect the nation of Byalia. There was no need to use electricity to damage their bodies.

But before Yang Le could transform, a sound came from underfoot of him and Wonder Woman. Seeing this, the two of them didn't linger and flew away from the pit one after another.

Just as their feet left the ground, the metal plate underfoot of Wonder Woman suddenly broke open a big hole. A black shadow rushed out from it, heading straight for Diana in mid-air.

Yang Le looked closely and discovered it was Troy, who had left with Circe. However, Troy's appearance had greatly changed at this time. She was no longer just wearing a thin robe; a set of armor now encased her graceful body.

Not only that, Troy's right hand was also holding a sword, and her left hand carried a round shield. Combined with her somewhat similar appearance to Diana, she looked like another Wonder Woman.

Diana also clearly saw Troy rushing to attack her. Facing this girl formed from her own mother's remains, she was momentarily dazed. It wasn't until the sword was almost about to stab her that Diana reacted and used the shield in her hand to block.

This was Diana's first time fighting Troy. Her left hand holding the shield trembled slightly. Diana was somewhat surprised by the girl's strength, which had unexpectedly numbed her hastily raised left hand in defense. She knew that only someone of Superman's level could do something like this.

Steadying her heart, Diana placed her right hand on her left hand. To create distance, she exerted force with both hands simultaneously, sending Troy flying back.

Facing the incoming great strength, Troy didn't choose to clash head-on. Following the force, she retreated, flipped in the air, and landed on the ground. Even the sand covering the ground couldn't affect her balance.

Using this time, Diana had also landed. They had only exchanged blows for one round, but had already flown several hundred meters away, far from the Byalia soldier's encirclement.

Yang Le landed beside Diana. At this time, he didn't know if he should help or not. The relationship between these two was too complex. It would be better to find Witch Circe's position; fighting her would be less complicated.

Without Yang Le needing to search, Circe walked out from a purple portal. Just like Yang Le, she stood beside Troy, smilingly looking at Yang Le and Diana.

"Circe!" Enemies meeting are especially enraged. As soon as Diana saw her mother's killer appear, she raised her sword, wanting to behead her to appease her mother's spirit in Heaven.

Unfortunately, the person blocking her was none other than her mother. Troy flashed and stood in front of Circe, blocking Diana's charge on the inevitable path. Helplessly, Diana had to stop.

"Get out of the way," Diana called out loudly to Troy. At this time, she felt a kind of helplessness, having strength but nowhere to exert it. If possible, she really didn't want to damage Troy.

Diana still held a trace of hope in her heart. After all, who knew if the girl could still transform back into her mother? What if she injured the girl and prevented her from transforming back?

"If you want to damage my mother, then step over my corpse," Troy said, raising her sword and looking alertly at Diana.
