Chapter 319: Battle Begins
Among the Alien Hero in the Little Broken Watch, there are actually quite a few who could play the Villain role. For example, those Aliens from Anur System Planet.
Take Mummy, used during the "beating up kids 1.0" incident, Buzzshock used to defeat Parasite, and Ghostfreak, whom Yang Le was hesitant to transform into. These are heavyweight transformations, and just from their appearances, they are very suitable to be Villains.
Yang Le had his Reasons for not choosing these three. Mummy had already been used in 1.0, and transforming into him again would lack novelty.
Buzzshock was avoided because Yang Le wasn't sure if Roy was truly unconscious at the time. If Roy had glimpsed Buzzshock in a daze, it would be awkward. As for Ghostfreak, as mentioned before, Yang Le was always afraid of Zskare giving him a "Night of the Returning Soul."
As for Blitzwolfer, also from the Anur System Planet system, his Strength was insufficient. Leaving others aside, Megan, being a Martian, deserved Yang Le's serious attention. It wasn't just her Mental Abilities; Megan naturally possessed the powerful Physical Body of a Martian as well.
Furthermore, there was Kid Flash. His Speed had improved when saving Private Yang Le, so the Condition of being able to handle a Speedster was naturally added to the criteria.
In conclusion, Lightning Snow Monster was chosen by Yang Le from the Corner. Originally, Yang Le considered using Buzzshock, but due to the aforementioned Reasons, he opted for Lightning Snow Monster.
Lightning Snow Monster and Buzzshock are similarly positioned, but neither is definitively stronger than the other, nor is one a superior substitute for the other.
However, Lightning Snow Monster possesses an Ability that Buzzshock lacks: Telepathic ability, which, although only mentioned once in the Setting, is still part of his capabilities. Combined with his Electromagnetic Ability, Lightning Snow Monster can even lift dozens of Tanks, War Vehicle, and Warplane, compressing them into a Sphere to trigger a Metal Explosion.
This is considered Lightning Snow Monster's Trump Card, although Ben in the original series never used this move. Instead, another Lightning Snow Monster had used it. However, since it's in the Setting, it implies that any Lightning Snow Monster can use it. This was also Yang Le's Reason for choosing him to face Megan and the others.
"Let go of me!" Wally's Body was still spasming slightly, a normal Phenomenon after being shocked, but it also meant he was currently unable to break free from Lightning Snow Monster's Control.
Lightning Snow Monster is an Alien Hero capable of wrestling with Four Arms; Wally truly couldn't break free.
"Hey! Gorilla!" Roy drew his Bowstring taut, the sharp Arrowhead aimed at Yang Le's Head. "I advise you to let him go."
The Snow Monster's original design was based on a Gorilla, and Lightning Snow Monster, derived from Snow Monster, naturally possessed many Ape-like characteristics. Of course, this terrifying appearance was also one of Yang Le's Reasons for choosing him.
"Oh~" Yang Le curled his lips in disdain, looking just like a real Gorilla.
With a casual flick, he tossed Wally, who he had been holding, towards Robin and the others. Aqualad reattached his Aquapack to the Backpack on his back and quickly moved to catch Wally.
"Are you okay, Kid Flash?" Aqualad quickly asked. Wally shook his Head, indicating he was fine.
"His muscles should still be spasming a bit," Robin said, reaching Wally to examine him. "But don't worry, with his Physical Body exceeding that of an Ordinary person, he'll recover shortly."
'Although I don't know why he's being so cooperative and returning Wally directly, it's undoubtedly advantageous for us,' Robin communicated Telepathically to the group.
'The Justice League is still nearby. Fighting here risks harming them,' Aqualad added.
'We can split into two teams. One team lures the Gorilla away, and the other is responsible for rescuing the Justice League,' Robin suggested.
"What are you all gesticulating about over there?" Yang Le was inwardly helpless but maintained a ferocious Expression. These children didn't think Roy's Bow alone could restrain him, did they?
"So, it turns out the Justice League's assistants are just a bunch of cowards." Yang Le wiggled his Fingers to generate Electricity. Unlike Buzzshock and Buzzshock (Alien), who could absorb external Electricity, Lightning Snow Monster needed friction to stimulate the Bolts on his Body for Recharge. It was both convenient and inconvenient.
The convenience was that Lightning Snow Monster could Recharge himself, but if his freedom was restricted or friction reduced, Electricity production would decrease or even cease.
"Whoosh!"
The Sound of Air Being Torn echoed as Roy released the Bowstring. The Arrow, already poised, shot out, aimed directly at Yang Le.
Yang Le curled his lip in disdain. Golden Electric Current flared, and the once unstoppable Arrow faltered upon contact, eventually halting completely.
Roy held not a Bow and Arrow, but a Starting Gun. As the Arrow was launched, the assistants sprang into Action.
Robin immediately removed his Gloves and tossed them to Aqualad. To counter Gotham's Electricity-wielding Villains, both his and Batman's Gloves and Boots were made of Insulating Material. Had defensive performance not been a concern, their Uniforms would likely be entirely Insulating Material.
Robin, mindful of his injured Heavy Hitter and impaired Action, deemed close combat unwise. He gave his Gloves to Aqualad, allowing the aquatic hero, whose Physical Body far surpassed his own, to engage in melee.
Aqualad slipped on the Gloves. Though slightly small, thanks to the Equipment's high quality, even stretched, the Gloves remained undamaged.
Regripping his Aquapack, Aqualad manipulated Water Molecule into two Water Blades and charged at Yang Le, Water Blade raised.
Golden Electric Current crackled around Yang Le again, intending to spread Electric Current Net across the floor once more. However, before he could channel Electricity into the Ground, three Arrows overtook the charging Aqualad, aimed at Yang Le's Vital Point.
In a real fight, Yang Le had countless ways to deal with both the Arrows and Aqualad simultaneously. But this was just a Test, no need for such seriousness. Yang Le chose to address them in stages, giving these young Hero a chance.
Retracting the Electricity meant for the Earth, Yang Le again used Magnetic Force Net to intercept the Arrows as before, but the result surprised him.
The three Arrows were unaffected by Electromagnetism, continuing straight towards him. Helpless, Yang Le could only punch them apart. It seemed these Arrows were made of non-magnetizable Insulating Material.
Just as Yang Le deflected the Arrows, Aqualad reached him, forcefully swinging his Water Blade.
