Chapter 322

chapter 274 part 2

The fluctuations of magic power around Nasurini were faint and intermittent, yet they caused the surrounding air to change, at times growing cold, at others becoming somewhat hot.

If one were to look closely, they might even see faint flashes of lightning flicker through the air.

"Hm?!"

Suddenly, Nasurini's closed eyes snapped open. The air temperature plummeted, turning icy cold. She had sensed a powerful fluctuation of magic power.

Before she could fully react.

BOOM!!

A massive roar echoed from the outskirts of the tribe, followed immediately by the shrill, urgent blast of a horn.

It was the emergency horn, blown whenever the tribe was under attack.

"The enemy is here!!"

"Protect the Queen!"

"Counterattack! How dare they invade us Demonkin!"

Angry, chaotic shouts erupted from all directions. Although they were suddenly attacked, the situation seemed to stabilize quickly.

This was one of the advantages of having a small tribe population; they could quickly gather their comrades without causing greater chaos.

"An attack?"

A cold expression appeared on Nasurini's face. How long had it been since an attack had occurred after she became Queen?

She quickly ran through the other demi-human races in her mind that might attack the tribe, but found none of them likely.

"That magic power fluctuation just now was at least at the third-tier level. This is no small fry."

"What a headache."

Nasurini lowered her four arms from their unique poses, and one of them made a grasping motion toward a corner.

A staff, about the height of a person, with three sharp blades on each side, two notched rings at the top, and a blue magic power gem embedded in the center, flew into her hand.

"I wonder which reckless junior has popped out of nowhere."

Nasurini held the magic staff and turned to walk off the altar, her narrowed eyes flashing with a cold glint.

*Rustle—Rustle—*

The tattooed beast hides hanging around her parted automatically.

Nasurini walked off the altar, where several Demonkin were already waiting respectfully.

"Queen!"

"Queen!"

"Queen!" These Demonkin immediately bowed respectfully.

"What's the situation now?" Nasurini didn't bother with pleasantries, her voice cold and devoid of emotion.

At this moment.

At the outermost edge of the tribe's territory, the barrier formed by the fence had been destroyed, leaving a straight, scorched black mark on the ground.

In its path, everything—be it rocks, houses, or buildings—was destroyed in one go, reduced to ashes.

A faint smell of burning hung in the air!

Tang Zheng stood quietly by the destroyed fence, looking at the dozen or so Demonkin who had been the first to arrive. Waves of magic power emanated from their bodies.

"What, there's only one enemy?!"

"Those clothes... a human?"

"Who are you!"

"..."

As soon as these Demonkin appeared, they immediately looked at Tang Zheng while simultaneously scanning the surroundings for other enemies.

"Is your Queen, Nasurini, in the tribe?" Tang Zheng ignored the Demonkins' questions, his hoarse voice ringing out.

"Intruder, you're courting death!!"

"How dare you speak our Queen's revered name."

Hearing Tang Zheng utter the name "Nasurini" without a shred of respect, all the Demonkin became enraged.

"It seems she's in the tribe, then."

Seeing their reaction, Tang Zheng nodded lightly. "Good."

"Mass Sand Domain!"

Rumble—

A vast magic circle instantly appeared beneath the feet of the dozen or so Demonkin. A large amount of quicksand erupted forth, surging towards them like a tidal wave.

The Demonkin roared one by one, trying to cast magic in retaliation, but the moment the sand touched them, their magic power seemed to be sealed, rendering them completely unable to use it.

"What's happening?!"

"I can't cast magic!"

Expressions of shock, confusion, and doubt appeared on the faces of all the Demonkin, only to be replaced by fear.

In the blink of an eye, all of them were locked in place by the quicksand, unable to move a muscle.

"Magic Arrow!" Tang Zheng waved a finger again.

Swish! Swish!

Ten arrows materialized from thin air and shot out, easily piercing the heads of the silenced and immobilized Demonkin.

Blood mixed with white brain matter splattered everywhere!

The dozen or so powerful Demonkin who had rushed over first were all killed in a single breath.
