Chapter 163

Chapter 159: Dragon-Related Jobs, A Gathering, and Summoning Magic

Tang Zheng walked out of the wooden cabin and saw the clear sky outside. He took a deep breath of the somewhat humid air, clearing his slightly groggy mind.

The Magic and techniques passed down by the lizardmen were fundamentally related to Faith-based Magic.

Some of this Magic interested even Tang Zheng, but its Level was simply too low, making it impractical.

Similar, higher-level Magic could produce much better effects.

However, the technical knowledge, along with some of the magical theories and concepts, proved to be of great benefit to Tang Zheng.

He had been in this world for too short a time and had never undergone any systematic study of Magic. This now served as a form of cramming.

“Green Claw, Sharp Edge, and Red Eye... next, I'll have to face a coalition of the three lizardman tribes.”

Tang Zheng leaned against the doorframe, gazing at the utterly silent Dragon Tooth Tribe.

*Tap—*

The Priest Lizardman walked out of the room with a dazed expression and handed a crude-looking map to Tang Zheng.

It depicted the locations of the remaining three tribes relative to the Dragon Tooth Tribe, drawn from the creature's memory.

The closest one was the Green Claw Tribe.

“As long as they aren't fools, faced with the destruction of two tribes, the three lizardman tribes should have already formed an alliance.”

Tang Zheng studied the map, a faint smile on his face.

It wasn't that he was unconcerned.

Quite the opposite, the next stage was what he needed to take seriously. Otherwise, he might truly find himself in a dangerous situation.

Salius Xia Xia of the *Frozen Fang*, Kyuku Zuzu of the *White Dragon Bone Armor*, and Crusch Lulu, who could use Third Tier Faith-based Magic.

Putting aside the others for now!

Facing these three lizardmen alone, relying on just two Flame Archangels gave him less than a twenty percent chance of victory.

And that didn't even include the lizardman warriors from the three tribes, who, when gathered, were a cut above even elite human troops.

There were also the Priest Lizardmen who could likewise use Magic.

If he were just an ordinary Third Tier magic caster, he would have turned and fled without a second thought when faced with such a lineup.

A flicker of excitement appeared deep in Tang Zheng's eyes.

Not to mention the two lizardman Sacred Treasures.

Crusch Lulu, the white-scaled lizardman, was enough on her own to pique Tang Zheng's interest.

Not only was she an “Ancient Awakened” variety of lizardman, but she also possessed several special Jobs.

*Summoner*, *Mind Shaman*, and one other Job that Tang Zheng couldn't currently identify.

Due to different translation versions, her final Job had been translated in several ways: *Dragon Tamer*, *Draconic Apostle*, *Dragon Rune Mentor*, and so on.

Regardless of which translation was correct, Crusch Lulu's final Job was related to dragons and seemed to stem from her own bloodline.

If this Job was a basic or Advanced Job, Tang Zheng certainly wouldn't mind learning it. It would also be a chance to verify if Jobs derived from a bloodline or exclusive to a specific race could be learned by others.

*Whoosh—*

In the sky, a streak of white light flew rapidly through the air, arriving in front of Tang Zheng's wooden cabin in an instant.

“They're finally here.” Seeing the Flame Archangel, Tang Zheng's expression grew serious. He knew the lizardmen had arrived.

Half a kilometer outside the Dragon Tooth Tribe.

Three lizardmen stood at the very front, gazing toward the silent Dragon Tooth Tribe in the distance. Behind them was a force composed of several priest lizardmen and three hundred lizardman warriors.

One carried a nearly two-meter-long heavy greatsword on his back. Another was clad head-to-toe in bizarre armor forged entirely from bones that glinted with a metallic sheen. The last was a figure completely concealed by a cloak of straw.

These were none other than the chieftains of the three great lizardman tribes—Green Claw, Sharp Edge, and Red Eye: Xiasiliu Xia Xia, Kyuku Zuzu, and Crusch Lulu.

The only one missing from the group was Salius Xia Xia, the wielder of the *Frozen Fang*.

“Is that human still inside the Green Claw Tribe?” asked Crusch Lulu from beneath her straw cloak, her voice somewhat timid.

“The Hunting Squad has been watching. The human has not left the Dragon Tooth Tribe,” Xiasiliu Xia Xia replied in a steady voice.

“So... you're saying... the current situation... is not... certain?” Kyuku Zuzu's speech was slightly slurred.

Xiasiliu Xia Xia and Crusch Lulu both knew this was because of the *White Dragon Bone Armor*.

“It would be best to confirm things first,” Crusch Lulu said softly.

Xiasiliu Xia Xia and Kyuku Zuzu exchanged a glance and nodded.

Crusch Lulu raised her arms as Magic Power surged through her body. A magic circle appeared in front of her. “First Tier Natural Beast Summoning: Goshawk of the Sky.”

*Poof!*

As white smoke billowed from the magic circle, a goshawk half the height of a man appeared before them. It then flapped its wings and took to the sky.

In the space of a few breaths, the goshawk had already reached the skies above the Dragon Tooth Tribe, its sharp eyes quickly sweeping over the entire tribe before soon locking onto several figures.

Then, the goshawk quickly turned and flew back in the direction it came from.

On the flat road within the Dragon Tooth Tribe.

Tang Zheng, accompanied by the Evil Spirit Hound and the Priest Lizardman, walked calmly toward the main gate.

He looked up slightly, toward the goshawk rapidly flying away in the sky.

Tang Zheng narrowed his eyes slightly. “Summoned by Magic?”

He remembered that the first time he used *Wild Transformation*, he had turned into a goshawk, so he was quite familiar with this beast.

Recalling the abilities possessed by this group of lizardmen, he quickly deduced the answer.

“Natural Beast Summoning,” Tang Zheng muttered, a distinct lack of interest in his eyes.

Summoning Magic could be broadly divided into six categories: Angel Summoning, Undead Summoning, Demon Summoning, Elemental Summoning, Natural Beast Summoning, and Retainer Summoning.

Each type of summoned monster had its own advantages, but in terms of pure strength, Natural Beast Summoning was definitely the weakest of the six summoning systems.

Of course, its advantage was the wide variety of creatures that could be summoned, giving it high practical utility.

Ever since Tang Zheng discovered that Summoning Magic could be gradually improved without spending skill points, he had wanted to master a second type.

He distinctly remembered that the lizardmen seemed to possess a type of Summoning Magic that mixed elements.

Outside.

After Crusch Lulu relayed what the goshawk had seen to the others, everyone felt more resolved.

Their greatest fear had been that after they gathered their forces, the human would have either left or gone into hiding—that would have been the most troublesome scenario for them.

“That human is certainly confident,” Xiasiliu Xia Xia sneered, his hand reaching for the heavy longsword on his back.

“Then... let's... make him... regret it!” Kyuku Zuzu raised his hands and scraped them against his bone armor, producing a harsh, buzzing sound.

“Advance!”

Xiasiliu Xia Xia swung his arm forward, and the force of over three hundred lizardmen began to press toward the Dragon Tooth Tribe.

At the same time!

A troop of over one hundred lizardmen had, at some unknown point, circled around to the rear of the Dragon Tooth Tribe.

And leading this force was none other than the wielder of the *Frozen Fang*, Salius Xia Xia.
