Marvel: Start Signing in with Megatron Chapter 60
Martin actually obtained the Scepter and the Cosmic Cube in one fell swoop. What made their scalps tingle even more was that Martin, a mere Earthling, understood these two Divine Artifacts better than they did.
He had directly obtained two Infinity Stones!!
They, the Black Order, hadn't even known that the Mind Scepter and the Cosmic Cube were essentially Infinity Stones!!
If they had known earlier, they would have been insane to hand the Infinity Stones over to Loki. Especially the ambitious Corvus Glaive, who longed to possess the Infinity Stones himself, acquire immense power, kill Thanos directly, and become the new ruler of the Dark Quadrant.
Now, the entire Universe knew that a Human named Martin was terrifying enough to possess four Infinity Stones at once, enough to annihilate Deities. This horrifying truth finally sparked a hint of anxiety in Thanos, who had always sought to achieve his lifelong ideal by acquiring the Infinity Stones.
From every perspective, Martin was an Overlord no less formidable than him: bloodthirsty, cruel, warmongering, and absolutely unwilling to compromise in any way when holding an advantage in battle...
In some ways, Martin was even more ruthless than Thanos, because no matter if Thanos’s ideal was right or wrong, it was at least noble; his ultimate goal was to save the Universe, allowing more Life to live better.
As for Martin, his ideal was conquest itself.
Thanos finally felt anxiety and irritation. As a mere Sub-Skyfather, unable to find any effective method to improve his strength within his sights, he had no choice but to bite the bullet and contact the Deities of the Titan Eternals.
That's right, the Titan Eternals also had Gods, just as the Wakandans had their own Panther God, and the Skrull Empire, one of the Three Great Empires, also had its own myths and living Gods.
The God of the Titan Race was named [Kronos], one of the power entities of this Universe, the renowned God of Time.
Moreover, he had another identity, which was...
Thanos’s biological grandfather.
Chapter 120
Thanos stood alone in the hall, hands clasped behind his back, observing for a moment. Then, he directly activated the Titan Race’s ritual. Complex instruments began to turn, and in the unseen, strange fluctuations spread.
Soon, an Ancient Being from the Universe responded to Thanos.
Boom!
A terrifying Cosmic Pressure descended, carrying a subtle sense of annoyance and irritability. At the same time, if one carefully sensed it, they would clearly perceive that time itself had stopped flowing at that moment, and everything seemed to be frozen in place.
A tall figure, shimmering with stars all over, draped in a long cloak, arms folded, descended with an air of indifference.
The being lowered its gaze, a pair of eyes falling directly upon Thanos. Immediately, a trace of disgust and repulsion appeared in its vision.
“Long time no see, Grandfather.” Thanos, hands behind his back, turned around and instead directly sat on the throne, calmly meeting the God of Time’s gaze.
Even though he himself was merely a Sub-Skyfather, he showed no fear whatsoever when facing the Universe-tier God of Time.
For Thanos still believed that he possessed Destiny, and the favor and attention of the cosmic consciousness.
“Thanos, my most detested descendant, you should not have summoned me. All your thoughts and actions fill me with extreme disgust.”
Kronos stared coldly at Thanos, speaking slowly.
Kronos’s attitude towards Thanos was exceedingly hostile.
He disapproved of all of Thanos’s actions, even his seemingly noble ideal.
“But you must admit, even more Ancient Deities secretly support my actions; at the very least, they haven't stopped me, just as you have consistently remained silent – I am the destined one of this era, bearing the heavy responsibility of saving the Universe.”
Thanos said calmly.
Kronos stared at Thanos for a moment, then suddenly sneered: “But alas, your Destiny seems to be forcibly transferred by a new entity, and even the Five Great Entities and the Cosmic Will are powerless. Even they cannot interfere with this progress!”
Thanos frowned: “Impossible, he’s just a Human.”
“Yet a Human has reached a level where even Gods cannot interfere! Even the most ancient Cosmic Gods cannot see through this humble Human! Thanos, you have provoked a formidable foe.”
Kronos sneered.
As the God of Time, his cosmic standing in the temporal domain was second only to Eternity. Logically, his understanding of Martin should far surpass that of other beings, but in reality...
Kronos himself was baffled.
He couldn’t understand.
He didn't understand where Martin had acquired that strange power to mass-produce powerful species called Transformers, or where he had obtained such peculiar Divine Artifacts.
He had initially thought Martin might be an illegal crosser from a Parallel Universe, undetected by the numerous Cosmic Gods, but upon closer inspection, he discovered...
There was no rejection or maladaptation on Martin’s person. It was as if Martin, along with his Transformers and Divine Artifacts, were all inherently part of this Universe, without any sense of incongruity.
But how could that be?
If Martin held no secrets, then Kronos, as the God of Time, might as well commit suicide. This very lack of incongruity was, in fact, the greatest incongruity.
He was an existence that even the Five Great Entities couldn’t fathom.
Yet his grandson, the last descendant of the Titan Eternals, was going to make an enemy of such a bizarre individual and contend for the Infinity Stones... he was doomed to lose.
Even Destiny wouldn't help; that thing was subject to change.
“I will not back down, and I need your help.”
Thanos said gravely.
Kronos let out an exasperated laugh: “I help you? Help you kill Martin? Regrettably, I am no match for him either right now.”
“I’m not asking you to kill him, but I need the power of the remaining two Infinity Stones. You can tell me the whereabouts of the last two Infinity Stones directly.”
Thanos stood up and said seriously.
He could disregard the Reality Stone.
However.
The legendary Soul Stone, the most mysterious and transcendent of all, was his true objective. As long as he could acquire the Soul Stone, anything would be possible.
“The Soul Stone itself carries a calamity. To gain its power, one must pay a tragic price, and that is a price you cannot afford.”
Kronos gave his grandson a deep look.
“I can afford it. I can pay any price, even my own life. Kronos, tell me, where is the Soul Stone?” Thanos said gravely.
“Vormir. I hope you don't regret it.”
Kronos dropped a name, and his form began to slowly vanish. He felt it was time to end this meeting.
Thanos looked at Kronos and said gravely: “I will not regret it. From the moment I decided to kill half of all Life in the Universe, I will never regret it. Moreover, isn’t this precisely what you hoped I would do?”
Kronos’s form paused, and for a moment, he fell silent.
Indeed.
Many of those high-and-mighty beings had lived for far too long. They had lorded over and enslaved billions of Lower Lifeforms for an excessively long time.
So long, in fact, that they had lost their very essence and spirit as Deities, becoming utterly corrupt.
And Thanos's resolve to destroy half of all Life to extend the Universe's lifespan would most benefit those Cosmic Gods, allowing them to remain corrupt for much longer.
It truly was a cruel reality.
“One last piece of advice, Thanos. Your ending may not be good, but your journey should not be too bad,” Kronos suddenly spoke. “I am about to participate in the Cosmic Summit, where numerous Cosmic Gods will gather to discuss this unique existence, Martin. Perhaps this will be advantageous to you, Thanos, for you are, after all, the original destined one.”
Kronos’s form completely vanished.
Thanos stood quietly in place, unmoving, deep in thought. Then, a cold smile appeared on his face, a smile laced with deep mockery.
After standing for a moment, he turned directly and summoned the Black Order.
“Search for Vormir’s coordinates. This is the highest classified secret of the Dark Quadrant. Once you find the coordinates, immediately… no, do not act for now.”
Thanos mused for a moment, waved his hand, and suddenly asked: “Where are Gamora and Nebula?”
Ebony Maw respectfully replied: “Gamora is currently with Quill and a Cybertronian lifeform named Lockdown, operating as cosmic bounty hunters. Nebula is obeying your command, hunting Gamora.”
“Order Nebula to continue tracking them, and I, too, will act personally.”
Thanos commanded.
The Black Order looked at Thanos in astonishment, finally kneeling in respectful obeisance.
Vormir...
In Thanos’s eyes, deep thought surged, along with a hint of anticipation.
What kind of surprise would the Soul Stone bring him?
Chapter 121
“Hmm?”
Martin, who had been resting his eyes on Cybertron, suddenly detected some subtle fluctuations at this moment and abruptly opened his eyes.
The power of the four Infinity Stones flickered continuously, providing him with abundant information about this Universe.
“Based on the Infinity Stones’ reactions, many powerful forces are converging. Are those Ancient Cosmic Gods about to... hold a Cosmic Summit?”
Martin pondered, then burst into a wry laugh.
Is that so? Faced with him, who defied convention and forcibly shattered existing trajectories, even those Cosmic Gods finally couldn’t sit still?
According to Martin’s memories from his previous life, the Cosmic Summit was a meeting of Deities triggered by the panic among numerous Ancient Deities after Thanos had collected all the Infinity Stones, forcing them to gather and discuss how to contain Thanos.
Throughout the entire Universe, any Deity of significant standing would participate in the summit.
Martin felt that at present, only he could cause so many Deities to convene a Cosmic Summit, unless it was an unknown entity from another Universe. Besides these two possibilities, there was no other reason.
“The Cosmic Summit is merely an act of self-preservation by a bunch of helpless individuals. If problems could be solved by holding meetings, then what would be the point of military force?”
Martin sat back down, a cold sneer on his face.
Indeed, a rather interesting group of Deities. Since when could problems be solved by holding meetings?
He closed his eyes once more, sensing Quill and Lockdown, along with Gamora and others, leaving Cybertron to once again roam freely across the Universe. A smile immediately appeared at the corner of his mouth.
Ah, the Soul Stone. Thanos, make your move quickly. Once you do, I will immediately intervene and seize everything from you.
A cruel smile appeared at the corner of Martin’s mouth.
The Cosmic Summit.
Numerous Ancient Deities gathered. Any single one who could step into this place would be an entity revered in the myths of countless civilizations across the Universe, exuding powerful Cosmic Pressure, with streams of Divine Radiance surging and Cosmic Laws shimmering around them.
The Five Great Creation Gods.
The Watchers.
The God of Time.
The Celestials.
The Elders of the Universe.
