Chapter 79
chapter 049 part 2
The Iacon Archives, Cybertron's highest data storage area, heavily guarded, it contained a vast amount of confidential data and various powerful Divine Artifacts.
In his previous life, the administrator of the Iacon Archives was none other than Alpha Trion, the knowledge master among the Thirteen Apostles.
Now, he had actually drawn this item; it was a pleasant surprise.
"Ding! Congratulations, Host, you have drawn the Cosmic Hunter: Lockdown!"
Martin's eyes lit up; it was Lockdown!
Lockdown, in the Transformers films, was a top warrior under Quintessa. He specialized in hunting Transformers and was a powerful Cosmic Hunter.
Before he could observe closely, at this moment, the door opened, and Optimus Prime walked in with heavy steps.
"Well done, Optimus Prime."
Martin took the glowing, solid-like substance from Optimus Prime's hand and praised him.
Optimus Prime calmly said, "Ego, he was weaker than I imagined."
Martin looked down at the glowing entity, and upon hearing this, he smiled. "It should be said that what you killed wasn't his entire being. As an extremely ancient Celestial in the Universe, he wouldn't be so foolish as to recklessly come before me to die. Even Surtur would cause him immense trouble."
"Then that living planet just now...?"
"That should have been a precious Avatar. Ego's ability is to devour planets to evolve. He could grow from an asteroid to a Celestial step by step, so he would have many ways to preserve his life... All right, Optimus Prime, you may withdraw first. I still have some things to do," Martin said.
Optimus Prime bowed slightly, then turned and walked out.
Outside, Megatron was waiting for him, arms crossed, a cold sneer on his face.
"Optimus Prime, you've surprised everyone, heh heh heh..." Megatron sneered, his red eyes filled with malice.
Optimus Prime drew his greatsword, and with a *boom*, tossed it onto the ground. He said lightly, "If you can lift it, you can also slay a God. If not, shut up."
"...Very well, Optimus Prime. This is more like a rival for me. I will find a way to become even stronger than you."
Megatron paused, revealing an ugly smile, then snorted coldly and turned to leave.
Heh, Optimus Prime, that bastard, always tries to trick me into grabbing that sword. Not a chance. Megatron was confident in his heart; he believed he absolutely could not lift that damned greatsword.
Martin didn't pay attention to the little incident outside. To be honest, there was nothing truly worth noting. Optimus Prime and Megatron clashing with each other was not a rare occurrence.
"Ego, let's talk. Why did you come here to die?"
Martin tossed the glowing entity onto the table. He then comfortably reclined in his chair, fingers interlocked, a relaxed expression on his face.
After a moment.
The glowing entity suddenly brightened. A Willpower emanated from it.
"I came for you. Your appearance will cause a massive impact on the existing Order of the entire Universe. As a Celestial of the Universe, I have a duty to scrutinize your advancement."
Ego's voice was cold.
Martin suddenly laughed, "A joke. Among all the Celestials of the Universe, you are nothing. Just the fifteen Elders of the Universe are no less than you. Add to that a bunch of other assorted Deities, and looking across the entire Universe, you don't even rank. What are you, to dare lecture me?"
This doesn't even count the Avatars of the Five Great Creation Gods located in this Universe.
And who knows if there's even an Avatar of the Living Tribunal in this Universe.
A mere Ego, heh, too arrogant. For someone like Ego, Martin could take on ten of him!
Snap!
Martin raised his hand and seized the glowing entity. He said coldly, "Tell me your true purpose, and I will decide what kind of death you receive."
The glowing entity flickered, and said coldly, "Martin, you are too arrogant. Born on a low-grade planet, you haven't even begun to understand how terrifying this Universe is! Excessive arrogance will only lead you to destruction! I, Ego, though not a top-tier cosmic God, understand this world far better than you. I know reverence more than you do."
Martin coldly lowered his gaze, examining the Abomination. Little by little, he continuously tightened his grip, as if to crush the glowing entity. But suddenly, he released his grip.
"You, you came for Quill. You don't want this excellent offspring to fall into my hands."
Martin sneered.
There was no reaction from the glowing entity, as if it had no idea what Martin was talking about.
"Starscream," Martin said.
Starscream pushed the door open and entered, roughly tossing the dusty and disheveled Quill onto the ground. He looked at the glowing entity with a sinister grin, "Your son is in my hands, esteemed Celestial of the Universe."
Martin raised his hand, and instantly pulled Quill towards him. He grabbed him by the throat, continuously increasing the pressure.
"Stop it, you damned thing, you win! Release my offspring!" Ego was extremely furious, "How did you know he was my offspring? I never told anyone!!"
Quill was dumbfounded, staring in astonishment at the glowing mass before him. This Abomination, claimed to be his father?
"Quill, your father killed your mother. And you are also the life complement chosen by your father. If your father could devour you, he might advance further and become an extraordinary Universe-tier being."
Martin chuckled softly, with a hint of malice. He directly exposed Ego's conspiracy. He looked at the father and son, both equally horrified, scoffed, and waved his hand.
Crack!
The glowing entity was crushed by Martin's hand. The Willpower of Ego contained within it was also destroyed by Martin, amidst furious and shocked roars.
Quill lay prone on the ground, stunned. His mind was in a turmoil: "What are you saying? This Abomination is my father? And he killed my mother? No, how is that possible..."
"You can investigate the truth yourself. Given my identity, there's no need for me to lie. In fact, I have very important things for you to do for me... Better than nothing, I suppose."
Martin walked step by step towards the disheveled Quill. He looked down, stared at Quill for a moment, then slowly raised his right hand.
The Mind Stone lit up, and a yellow light suddenly surged towards Quill, instantly modifying his thoughts and Willpower.
The light dissipated.
