Marvel: Start Signing in with Megatron Chapter 32
Martin snapped the book shut, stood up, and smiled, "I was wondering when you'd finally show yourself."
The woman before him was none other than the Ancient One. Her terrifying magic power, vast as an ocean, seemed to draw the very stars of the Universe into orbit around her just by her presence.
"By my reckoning, this is our second meeting," the Ancient One said, still wearing her signature smile. But one shouldn't mistake that smile for a genuine one; it was more of a habitual disguise.
"There are some things I need to tell you, lest we end up fighting after I act. That would be very troublesome," Martin said indifferently.
The two confronted each other, a palpable tension in the air. The terrifying oppressive feeling enveloped all of Kamar-Taj, causing many sorcerers to suddenly look up, their foreheads already beaded with fine sweat.
Suddenly, the Ancient One frowned slightly, sizing up Martin, and asked, "You... are carrying two Infinity Stones?"
"Of course. Otherwise, I wouldn't have come to confront you directly," Martin replied. "Everyone knows sorcerers are the most unpredictable bunch. No one knows how many bizarre spells you've mastered, and a single oversight could lead to great trouble."
Martin spread his hand. Two gems, yellow and blue, shone brightly, complementing each other. The powers of mind and space intertwined, causing the two brilliant gems to slowly rotate, floating above Martin's palm.
Everyone's gaze was drawn to the impossibly beautiful gems. Their entire minds were captivated, as if the most mystical sights of the entire Universe were concentrated there, displayed within Martin's palm.
The Ancient One waved her sleeve.
*Whoosh!*
A powerful surge of Magic Power erupted, startling all the sorcerers present awake.
"Infinity Stones directly touch the core of this Universe," the Ancient One said, her voice gentle. "The Willpower of ordinary people is too fragile and can easily be influenced and distorted by the Infinity Stones."
Many sorcerers immediately showed expressions of shame. After bowing respectfully to the Ancient One, they hurried away, one after another.
Martin glanced over, seeing Stephen Strange still unable to resist shifting his gaze to the two gems.
"These two stones are truly amazing. Can they heal my hands?" Stephen Strange murmured, staring stubbornly.
No one laughed at him.
Mordo, who was always critical, was now surprised. He looked at Stephen Strange in astonishment. "You... you can actually stare directly at Infinity Stones and maintain a stable mind..."
Especially these two Infinity Stones, with one being the Mind Stone, which specifically affects the mind and spirit!
At this, Mordo looked at Stephen Strange with newfound respect. No wonder the Ancient One praised this down-on-his-luck fellow so highly.
At least in terms of Willpower, he was indeed praiseworthy.
The Ancient One nodded at Stephen Strange, which made Stephen Strange feel somewhat flattered and overwhelmed.
The Ancient One then looked at Martin, her brow slightly furrowed. She said, "The power of the Infinity Stones far exceeds the comprehension of ordinary Gods. Once you're deceived by suddenly acquired immense power, everything is over... Martin, do you know that no one in this world has ever obtained two Infinity Stones simultaneously? Yet you have."
No one, ever, had possessed two Infinity Stones!
Martin was the only one in the history of the entire Universe!
"I don't just want these two; I want more," Martin said. "The other four Infinity Stones are also within my hunting range. With your wisdom, you must have already guessed this. Perhaps you've even seen it through some means..." Martin slowly clenched his hand, drawing the two Infinity Stones back into it.
The Ancient One stared intently at him, her expression solemn, a tempest raging in her heart. The Time Stone, which she had deliberately sealed within the Divine Artifact Agamotto's Eye, was her biggest secret!
But now, she clearly discerned a deeper meaning in Martin's words.
"You are walking a path of destruction. You will die," the Ancient One said gravely.
"Perhaps," Martin countered. "But if I truly die, there's no doubt I'll have left a contingency for revival... Ancient One, I didn't come here to argue with you. I came to tell you that some matters must be dealt with beforehand, because I'll be leaving Earth soon."
"I'm going to build my own planet, far away from this desolate place called Earth."

"A dangerous decision."
The Ancient One poured a cup of tea, gazed at the curling smoke, and said faintly, "This Universe has many conquering Overlords, each with different ambitions. If you wish to become one of them, you must be prepared for total war."
Martin suddenly clenched his fist, "So?"
"Therefore, it might be better to stay on Earth."
The Ancient One handed a cup of tea to Martin.
Martin frowned slightly, not taking it.
The Ancient One continued, "You are truly extraordinary, Martin. In the countless trillions of futures I have observed, your presence has never appeared. Yet, you appeared, rising at an inconceivable speed, becoming an existence that shakes the Universe. You have broken the shackles of time, surpassing countless Variants of yourself across Parallel Universes."
Martin took the teacup but placed it directly to the side.
He knew his own situation.
Variants of himself in Parallel Universes? Others would certainly have them. Anyone who could be replicated by the Multiverse would have everything about them copied countless times and sent to different Universes.
But this replication rule applying to him? Give me a break. His Variants were, at best, natives of the Marvel Multiverse. Even if a rare one became a Superhero or a Supervillain, that was it; they were fundamentally different from him.
The Ancient One again showed a gentle smile. "Are you interested in becoming the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth? Earth needs a new guardian."
Mordo's face changed drastically. "Sorcerer Supreme, how can someone like him become Earth's guardian?"
The Ancient One waved her hand, her eyes sharply fixed on Martin.
Martin raised an eyebrow. "If I said I was interested, would you truly dare to let me?"
The Ancient One stared steadily at him.
Martin fell silent, finding the Ancient One increasingly unfathomable.
"I refuse," Martin said slowly. "A mere Sorcerer Supreme, a guardian of a single Living Planet, is not enough to shackle my progress. And what lies before me are countless Multiverses; I cannot abandon the Infinite Multiverse for a mere Earth."
The Ancient One sighed deeply.
