Chapter 48
chapter 027 part 2
Captain Marvel's face was grim as she warily observed the being before her, whose power level was no less than her own.
“Corvus Glaive, leader of the Black Order.”
Corvus Glaive displayed an ugly grin, his aura sinister. As soon as his words fell, he immediately swung his scythe ferociously. This strange scythe faintly emanated the cries of countless Undead, its sharpness was such that Captain Marvel dared not block it directly, and she quickly retreated, dodging.
Corvus Glaive's inherent strength allowed him to directly contend with a normal Thanos. In the comics, when he descended upon Earth, he single-handedly annihilated the fully assembled X-Men, and even directly killed Thanos, becoming the master of the Dark Quadrant!
What was worse, this guy's True Form was actually the scythe, not the person wielding it. As long as the scythe wasn't destroyed, he could resurrect countless times; ordinary people simply did not know this crucial secret.
For a moment, two sub-Skyfather beings confronted each other in the vacuum, and then a fierce battle erupted.
Corvus Glaive slashed ferociously, instantly slicing apart a nearby planet. In the instant its core exploded into fireworks, he swiftly closed in, striking at Captain Marvel.
A massive golden radiance shone from Captain Marvel, blocking the strike with a thunderous impact. But the powerful golden energy was sliced through several layers by the scythe; this destructive power made Captain Marvel's expression shift.
Several more figures appeared. What was even more terrifying, a figure radiating terrifying Psionic Ability emerged from afar. A nearly terrifying Telepathy burst forth, crashing into Captain Marvel's mind, startling her with a deep sense of dread, and amidst a stinging pain in her mind, she hastily retreated.
Corvus Glaive watched the retreating golden figure, his brow furrowed, and he snarled back: “Supergiant, I could have killed her myself! Your rash intervention made me lose my prey.”
“You can't kill her.”
Supergiant, along with the other three Black Order members, appeared. She immediately tossed her long white hair, her pale pupils gazing at Corvus Glaive, and she said calmly: “Her power directly originates from the Infinity Stone. She is one of the rare special individuals who can establish a life resonance with an Infinity Stone. Although her innate talent is terrible, and she's so weak even with the Infinity Stone's boost, she's still not someone you can handle—if not for her unique energy source, I could have made her kill herself on the spot.”
In the Black Order's eyes, Captain Marvel was indeed quite useless, possessing such exaggerated weapon support, yet she was only a mere sub-Skyfather.
The other four generals all turned to look at Supergiant, a trace of wariness on their faces.
Supergiant was proficient in all forms of Psionic Ability: Mind Control, telepathy, mental transfer, memory theft. If she targeted someone, they wouldn't even know how they died… She was essentially a sub-Skyfather Professor X!
In the comics, she single-handedly mentally enslaved the Skyfather Black Bolt, and then controlled Black Bolt to attack Earth!
This was the terrifying aspect of the Black Order: no weaknesses, and each member's ability was extremely strange and powerful. As Thanos's assistants, they managed the vast Dark Quadrant.
“Now is not the time for a full-scale invasion,” Ebony Maw mused thoughtfully. “The main objective is reconnaissance. This remote planet called Earth, primitive and ignorant, yet it has such tricky individuals…”
With Odin's death and Asgard's destruction, Martin's great name gradually spread throughout the universe. Everyone knew that Odin, the Skyfather renowned as the strongest and most domineering, had actually been defeated by a human.
And if one were to factor in the low-key yet ruthless Sorcerer Supreme…
The waters on Earth were indeed somewhat deep, so deep that even the Dark Quadrant was extremely wary.

Chapter 64
“I knew you would come. You always do.”
Loki blasted Hawkeye and Natasha away with a single strike, then looked at the man who had crossed half the earth in one stride and let out a sinister chuckle.
Martin glanced casually.
Natasha met Martin's gaze, her face instantly changed. That suffocating feeling as if being targeted by a savage beast, merely a single glance, almost made her entire being collapse.
This was the fundamental difference between a god and a human.
Martin walked slowly, directly approaching Loki.
“Even if you are a god, you absolutely cannot evade the control of the Infinity Stone!!” Loki's face was deranged, completely falling into a terrible mental state, filled with extreme viciousness and hatred.
He remained motionless, but in the next instant, a soft thud echoed, and another scepter was plunged into Martin's chest.
The Loki who had been speaking began to dissipate.
A decent trick.
But that was all it was.
The ferocity on Loki's face instantly ceased, turning stiff, becoming distraught, and falling into deep confusion.
“Why is this happening…” Loki watched Martin, who was staring at him with cold indifference, in disbelief.
CRACK!
Martin grabbed Loki's wrist, and with a casual twist, a crisp snap, Loki's arm was instantly broken by Martin.
“Do you think everyone is as foolish as you?”
Martin stepped forward and sneered softly: “Do you think everyone, like you, is constrained by existing frameworks?”
The aura emanating from him was terrifying, almost freezing everything around them. Even Loki felt a chill, let alone ordinary humans like Natasha and Hawkeye.
The ground beneath their feet began to crumble, turning into countless atoms, disintegrating little by little. Countless people throughout New York were under Martin's dominion, trembling with fear.
“You're ultimately just Thanos's dog. To me, you're not even as good as a dog.” Martin laughed mirthlessly and snatched the Mind Scepter from him.
“Why aren't you affected by the Mind Scepter…?” Loki stammered, catching his broken arm and staggering backward, a wretched smile on his face. “Why do you seem to know the Mind Scepter's power so clearly…? I've researched you; you were born and raised on Earth, with no chance to access cosmic secrets. Why…?”
Martin looked down at the Mind Scepter in his hand, feeling the terrifying power that extended Telepathy to its absolute limit, a hint of awe appearing on his face.
The Mind Stone is the rule embodiment of all psionic abilities in a single universe. With the Mind Stone in hand, it's equivalent to taking a single step to stand at the ultimate end of a certain path. It truly is a captivating and supreme power.
