Chapter 147
Inside the Earth base.
Numerous Transformers and Earth's heroes were gathered here.
Optimus Prime's expression stirred. He slightly turned his greatsword, and the Bifrost suddenly descended. Amidst endless radiant light, Martin slowly walked out, his expression serene, his eyes incredibly deep, as if filled with the entire universe's glittering stars.
He shifted his gaze. Everyone caught in his peripheral vision felt a tremor in their hearts, instinctively producing a trace of fear.
After experiencing battle with an ancient demon god like Chthon and decisively crippling him, Martin had become increasingly terrifying. His mindset and his willpower had undergone a true transformation; he could now observe everything from a multiverse-tier perspective.
Everyone present, even just facing Martin, felt a heavy sense of oppression.
Magneto intertwined his fingers, his brow slightly furrowed, as he looked at Martin with surprise and uncertainty. He was the first to ask, "What happened to Ultron?"
"The original Ultron is gone. All that remains is my intelligent program, Ultron."
Martin gestured, then slowly walked into the base, surrounded by numerous Transformers.
The heroes hesitated, exchanging glances. Ultimately, Professor X, with a calm expression, drove his wheelchair inside first, and only then did the others follow suit.
If Martin wanted to kill them, a single slap would suffice; there was no need for such trouble.
In a grand hall, Martin patted a nearby coffee machine and said, "Latte." The coffee machine immediately sprang to life, extending limbs and making whirring noises. A few seconds later, numerous freshly brewed coffees were ready.
The dozens of heroes present exchanged bewildered glances, feeling a surge of absurdity.
Martin held his cup and gestured, then gently sniffed the coffee's aroma and took a sip. "Taste them all," he said. "These were brewed using Energon Crystals, meticulously prepared by my Transformers. They're more delicious than the works of the world's finest coffee masters."
Tony, being the most casual, simply walked up and took a cup, then approached Martin. After a moment of hesitation, he asked, "With your technology, how did you rewrite Ultron's core program? I've talked with that old scoundrel Pym, and the Ultron replicated from that old man's brainwaves is the most insane and rebellious..."
Martin said indifferently, "As long as it's a mechanical life form, it must be under my control. Intelligent life is no exception. This is a law of truth that even the multiverse cannot restrict."
Though it was just a brief sentence, everyone present clearly felt a compelling sense of suffocation.
Damn it, that's truly unreasonable. How can such a truth exist in this world?
Jean looked conflicted. Finally, she took a deep breath and quietly asked, "Martin, the Phoenix Phantom that appeared in the sky above Earth just now..."
"That was also me. The Phoenix Force is a very useful power; it's why I was able to enslave and defeat Ultron," Martin said indifferently. "What exactly do you want to say?"
"No, nothing... When it was on me, it was always in a state of being out of control and angry, but..."
Jean shook her head with a bitter expression.
But in Martin's hands, it became a crucial aid in eliminating powerful enemies. The disparity was too great.
Martin gazed calmly at Jean.
Logically, in the future, Jean would either be devoured by the Dark Phoenix, or if she could reconcile with the Dark Phoenix, she would advance further, truly possessing the Phoenix Force—even if it was just a Phoenix fragment!
By collecting more Phoenix fragments, Jean could leap past the Dark Phoenix stage and ascend to become a universe-level White Phoenix. If she was fortunate enough to obtain more, larger fragments from other universes, she would then evolve into Jean's ultimate form—the White Phoenix of the Crown!
This was also Jean's most powerful form across all versions.
Unfortunately, after Martin seized the Phoenix Force, Jean no longer had such a future. Losing the risk naturally meant losing the chance to reach the pinnacle. Martin felt perfectly justified about this, without any guilt.
He had snatched it through his own ability and conquered the Phoenix Force.
"If there's nothing else, please leave. My subordinates aren't particularly welcoming of you. They simply stay quietly on Earth, silently observing its changes, and will not interfere with events on Earth... However, if some fool actively comes to provoke them, that's another matter entirely."
Martin directly issued an order for them to leave.
Professor X nodded, "In any case, thank you for this time. You've averted a major crisis for Earth. Thank you, for being born on Earth and saving Earth. I'm glad to see this."
Martin showed a peculiar smile, "You're celebrating too early. The future is still long; no one knows what will happen."
Everyone looked bewildered.
Martin chuckled softly and gestured. Numerous Transformers then forcefully escorted them out.
"This is just the beginning. There will be many more troubles in the future. I wonder how many of you will still be alive and standing here to talk to me again years from now."
Martin drained his coffee in one gulp.
Immediately, he called Soundwave in.
"Soundwave, you can't return to Cybertron yet. I have something even more important for you to do, and only you can accomplish it... Deploy your soldiers, with Devastator leading the way, to secretly excavate a path to the Earth's core. There are many complex things inside Earth, even related to the origin of Earth's life... But be sure to stop immediately when you are a few kilometers from the Earth's core. I will handle the rest."
Martin instructed.
Soundwave silently recorded the message, then played it back once more. Only after Martin nodded did he depart in silence, not uttering a single word from beginning to end.
Martin sat in his chair.
Earth wants peace? Impossible. Many troublemakers wouldn't let the superheroes rest. Moreover, Martin himself was secretly laying plans for Earth. Some things, related to very tricky matters in the future, needed to be done now.
Unconsciously, Martin looked up towards the starry universe.
Some guys should be unable to hold back much longer, right...?
Deep in the universe.
Numerous massive warships were now flying towards the World Tree.
