"Once per Turn, it absorbs one monster from your Field as an Equip Card, and gains that monster's ATK/DEF." Pointing towards [Dragonmaid Sheou] on Hayato's Field, Dartz declare, "The monster I select is [Dragonmaid Sheou] on your Field, Hayato!"
"Get away from Hayato's side, you mere card spirit!"
If [Dragonmaid Sheou] were just a simple Duel Monster, Dartz wouldn't care so much. But he had long noticed that many of Hayato's cards had spirits residing within them. How could he tolerate these spirits staying by Hayato's side?
"Want to play monster stealing? Don't even think about it! I'm a Pure Love Faction, watch my Dragonmaids crush monster stealing!" Hayato frowned, chaining to the Effect Activation of [Relinquished], he declare, "The Effect of [Dragonmaid Sheou] can only be activated when the opponent activates a Spell/Trap/Monster Effect! It negates that activation and destroys it!"
"How dare you show off your petty tricks in front of me? I'm the only one who takes control of others' monsters!"
Accompanied by Hayato's double-standard declaration, [Dragonmaid Sheou]'s body once again scattered starlight. Hayato looked at Dartz's [Relinquished] on the Field with a serious expression, while placing the [Dragonmaid Hospitality] card on his Duel Disk, and explained.
[Dragonmaid Sheou]'s negation effect is quite Omni Negate, but its flaw is that it can only be used once, after which it turns back into human form. And Dartz's operation was extremely obvious; he clearly intended to use [Relinquished]'s power to bait out [Dragonmaid Sheou]'s effect, to ensure that the card he drew this Turn could be activated safely.
And Hayato had no choice but to use [Dragonmaid Sheou]'s effect as he intended.
