Chapter 95

Chapter 95: You wretched flea, taste my sword!

2024-05-15 Author: Samsung Charmander (Author Name)

“Uh, Blue, actually... that little flea is still alive.”

Ash answered truthfully, quickly recounting everything that had happened in the Pokémon Tower.

The two of them were now in this together, like Kricketunes; there was no need to tease her like Gary did.

Blue: "!"

Her unfamiliar corporate slave face was etched with shock, her eyes wide.

Ever since she had erected a gravestone for Gary, she had been in a daze, always feeling that she was the one who had gotten him killed. She spent her days like a walking corpse, wandering aimlessly, drowning her sorrows in fruit juice.

In a state of extreme remorse, she had even learned Transformation and Disguise from Blue (manga character).

Perhaps because her grief was greater than death itself, her learning potential was successfully unlocked, and she had mastered about seventy to eighty percent of the skill in just a few days.

"There's a Silph Co. Dungeon in Saffron City. I've cleared it before, it's pretty fun. You should go try it out."

That's what Blue (manga character) had told her.

With the intention of pulling herself together, Blue disguised herself as a low-level corporate slave and began to climb the ranks step by step.

One day, she would climb to the position of the Boss's secretary, then secretly kill the Rainbow Group's Boss, and then, without anyone knowing, disguise herself as the boss. From then on, she would be a formidable presence in the Kanto Region.

Perhaps by becoming rich, she could forget the sorrow of her fellow townsman's tragic death?

Earlier, she had seen Gary's figure in the Silph Co. Building and assumed he was also here to clear the Dungeon. However, his appearance had scared her half to death, and she had immediately pulled out the three incense sticks she always kept ready in her backpack and gave a faithful bow.

Then, he disappeared in a strange white light, making her think he was a ghost who had been moved by her sincerity and passed on.

And now you're telling me Gary isn't dead?

Where did that leave her three-day-old dream?

"Come on, let's go catch that flea and stuff him back in. The man's already been put in his grave, yet he's still jumping out and hopping around."

Blue grabbed Ash's wrist and headed for the stairs.

Since the elevator wouldn't go up, they would take the stairs. A mere 20 floors was nothing for True Newcomers like them.

Ash: "?"

This sudden shift in logic completely baffled him.

Wasn't she just feeling sad a moment ago?

"Hmph, I'll continue crying once he's properly dead."

Blue snorted coldly. With a flick of her hand, she twirled her wooden sword in a flourish in mid-air before stylishly hanging it at her waist.

Although her Transformation and Disguise skills hadn't reached the same level of perfection as Big Sis Blue's, her kendo was already at a master level. No one in the entire Silph Co. Building could stop her!

"?"

Da Che, standing to the side, was utterly bewildered, unable to grasp the situation. He could only follow the two of them in a daze.

So, did they want this person called "flea" to be dead or alive?

"These fleas! They even destroyed the cameras! They leave me no choice!"

On the 40th floor, Giovanni's expression turned furious when he saw his screen go black. He began manipulating the computer, secretly changing the rules for all the Square Teleporters inside the Silph Co. Building.

Besides being famous throughout Kanto for manufacturing Poké Balls, Silph Co. possessed another special piece of Black Technology: the Spatial Teleportation Device.

Especially within this building, every single Square Tile on the floor was a teleporter that could be activated at any time. When they activated and where they teleported to were all determined by the main controller on the 40th floor.

In a way, it was even more powerful than Sabrina's Teleport.

"Hehe, let's leave it to those two, then..."

Giovanni and Little Black behind him grinned viciously at the same time.

On the 20th floor, just as the three of them were about to step onto the stairs leading to the next level, the Square Tile under their feet suddenly lit up with a strange white light. A peculiar sound hummed, as if something was about to happen.

"Watch out!"

Ash reacted quickly, yanking Blue with him as he leaped onto the adjacent Square Tile.

*Swoosh!*

Immediately after, the white light from that Square Tile shot up, completely engulfing Da Che, who couldn't react in time. The next second, he vanished on the spot, turning into a streak of white light.

The two of them: "?"

"Whoa! This white light looks a bit like the one that was on Gary before!"

Blue recalled the scene where she had met Gary. At the time, she thought he had been moved by her and ascended to Buddhahood. Now it seemed there was something strange about this building.

Seeing Da Che leave, she reverted to her original cute and soft voice and shouted delicately:

"Taste this young lady's blade!"

Without a second thought, Blue thrust her wooden sword towards the floor with a Divine Lance, but the recoil made the web of her hand go numb.

She then wiped away her sweat and turned to Ash. "This one's tough. Should we bail?"

Ash: "?"

He didn't understand what kind of gangster jargon Blue was speaking, but he knew they couldn't just let the enemy teleport them around at will. He was about to be the first to run up the stairs.

*Swoosh!*

A Square Tile lit up with white light. Ash scoffed, intending to do the same thing as before and jump to another Square Tile.

*Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!*

The next second, every Square Tile on the entire floor lit up, leaving him absolutely no safe place to land.

Ash: "..."

Blue: "..."

They gave up struggling, and with an expression of calm resignation, allowed the white light to bathe their bodies.

---

Silph Co. Building, 38th Floor.

A brown, Spiky-Haired Youth was continuously examining the Square Tiles beneath his feet. Beside him stood a blue, turtle-shaped Pokémon. Its appearance was similar to a Squirtle, but its physique was much larger, and it had small, wing-like ears growing from its head.

It was Gary and his Starter Pokémon, Wartortle.

Right now, Gary was rubbing his chin, his eyes darting around. An intellectual aura surrounded him, a sign that his brain's CPU was spinning at high speed.

He had been trapped in this building for a whole day. He had stepped on basically every single teleporter, being sent up and down all 39 floors, but he just couldn't reach the highest 40th floor.

"Elder Brother Green, you've got to be kidding me. You call this an easy Dungeon?"

Gary complained.

However, after so many attempts, he was beginning to see a pattern in these Square Teleporters.

If a floor was a large chessboard, stepping on the Square Tile at coordinates horizontal 233, vertical 213 would teleport him to a floor number equal to twice the unit number plus one.

As Professor Oak's grandson, Gary wasn't just about showing off.

He also used his brain.

"Hmph, I've finally seen through it all. Now, I just need to step on this Square Tile, and I'll be teleported to the 3rd floor, then to the 36th, then to the 27th... requiring fifty transfers in between... and finally, I'll reach the 40th floor, the highest floor."

Gary scoffed. Just by calculating in his head, he had already figured out the path fifty floors ahead.

"Is this the intelligence of the Rainbow Group? How laughable! Hahaha." He couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Elder Brother Green: "..."

So why did he have to take the teleporters?

Wouldn't it be better to just take the stairs to the 39th floor and then blast his way up to the 40th?

"Elder Brother Green, you don't get it. What's the fun in brute-forcing a Dungeon? For smart people like us, it's all about using our intellect." Gary threw his head back and laughed, revealing a handsome and confident smile.

"Only a hothead like Ash would do something so barbaric."

After laughing, Gary confidently led Wartortle towards the Square Tile he had calculated.

As he expected, after another two hours of continuous teleporting, he would appear out of thin air on the 40th floor, ready to happily fight the boss.

"This era... will ultimately belong to me, Gary!"

Laughing maniacally, he lifted his left leg, about to step onto that Square Tile.

*Gugu-ka*

Just then, a strange sound echoed, like the starting of some mechanical gears.

Gary's face instantly turned pale. He knew that sound. Every time it rang out, the rules of the teleporters were being changed.

But according to his calculations, the next change wasn't supposed to happen for another three hours!

*Swoosh!*

But he and Wartortle had already stepped onto it. The next second, a white light flared up, teleporting the ashen-faced duo to an unknown location.

Soon, the white light faded. Before Gary could even observe his surroundings, a sharp glint of light shot toward him. The piercing sword aura seemed capable of slicing through anything, sending a shiver down his spine and making every hair on his body stand on end.

"You wretched flea, taste my sword!!"

Blue, who was right in front of him, had already swung her wooden sword. Her body acted on muscle memory, striking as fast as lightning!
