Chapter 1141: Ash's Future

"Meeeow..."
"Meeeow..."
When the dust settled, both Meowstic had already collapsed to the ground, unable to battle.
"The Meowstic are unable to battle! Combusken and Grovyle are the winners!"
"Therefore, the winner of this Mossdeep Gym challenge is Ash!"
Tate and Liza, the twins, seemed to share a telepathic link, speaking one after the other in a seamless connection.
“...”
Olympia’s breathing eased slightly. Her expression remained unchanged as she calmly recalled her two Meowstic.
This trainer before her was indeed qualified to defeat them; their loss was not unjust.
"Combu!"
"Grovyle!"
However, the victorious Combusken and Grovyle immediately fell back into their squabble, each claiming to have made the greater contribution.
But just as they were about to butt heads, a wave of weakness washed over both their legs simultaneously, leaving them rooted to the spot.
The enhanced version of Psychic had dealt a great deal of damage to them both; the battle hadn't been as easy as it looked.
"You two worked hard! We'll celebrate with a big feast when we get back!"
Ash said with a grin as he recalled them, first tossing out a tempting promise.
This meant their task in Mossdeep City had been completed on the very first day.
"Congratulations, Ash."
"That was pretty easy~!"
Brock and the others gathered around to congratulate him. Except for Sawyer, they all wore expressions that said this was only to be expected.
It would have been more surprising if he'd actually stumbled.
"Then, this~!"
"Is our Mossdeep Gym Badge~ The Mind Badge~!!"
The twin siblings, in perfect sync, presented Ash with a heart-shaped badge. One half was pink, and the other was yellow.
"Just one more to go!"
Ash carefully grasped it in his hand, his heart filled with an even greater eagerness to collect the final badge and start the Ever Grande Conference.
But before that.
"Lady Olympia, about that prophecy..."
Ash turned his gaze to Olympia, who stood silently to the side. Her mysterious attire, much like that of an astrologer, carried a natural air of persuasiveness.
Olympia nodded, not refusing the promise she had made earlier.
This time, however, she released two more Pokémon.
*Poof! Poof!*
Flashes of red light revealed two humanoid Pokémon, each about half a person's height, standing on either side of Olympia.
They had intermingling white and purple fur, with a pair of curved horns on the sides of their heads. They stood tall and straight, like a maid and a butler among humans.
"What's this..."
Ash quickly pulled out his Pokédex.
"Dee-dee-dee. Indeedee, the Emotion Pokémon, a Psychic- and Normal-type. There are gender differences between them; their abilities and the moves they can learn will vary. They enjoy serving and caring for humans and other Pokémon, and possess the ability to perceive changes in a target's emotions," the Pokédex reported.
This was another Pokémon similar to Meowstic, with significant differences in appearance between males and females.
The male Indeedee had a cold and serious expression, while the female was as gentle as Nurse Joy.
Contrary to Meowstic, with Indeedee, it's the male that focuses on attack, while the female focuses on defense.
The moment one of the Indeedee appeared, the entire battlefield was automatically bathed in a pinkish light.
Ability—Psychic Surge. Upon entering the battle, it automatically creates a Psychic Terrain.
Ash and the others just watched, stunned, filled with curiosity about what she was going to do next.
*Bzzzz...!!*
The next moment, the two Indeedee activated their telekinesis, and a dense blue light connected them to Olympia, who stood between them.
The universe-patterned robe on her back began to float up.
Her entire body even began to levitate slowly into mid-air, a truly fantastical sight.
Of course, Olympia herself didn't have the ability to fly...
Being levitated by her Pokémon's psychic power made her prophecy ritual seem all the more impressive.
"Ash of Pallet Town, your future is exceedingly strange...!"
Olympia's voice was drawn out, her manner of speaking shifting to that of ancient prose.
She had seen many futures for Ash, each one shocking enough to horrify the masses.
If she were to speak of them all now, she might genuinely drop dead the moment she walked out the door...
So, she would just pick the most recent prophecy to speak of.
Olympia decided to discard all visions of the more distant future, keeping only the most immediate one, and spoke slowly:
"The ocean will roil, the volcano will erupt. Utterly different forms of primal power will collide before your very eyes~!"
"In sun and heavy rain, the Sky Dragon God will bring an end to all beneath the cloud layer~!"
"This power will also completely consume you~!"
Olympia spoke several lines of riddles in a row, leaving everyone to listen in a daze.
She couldn't just say it plainly, as it would shorten her life. She could only resort to such roundabout riddles.
They would have to figure it out for themselves.
Ash: "..."
While the others were listening in a daze, Ash's expression had turned vacant, the focus in his eyes gradually fading.
At this moment, fragmented scenes were continuously flashing through his mind.
This was the ability of the Indeedee, which could synchronize the prophetic images in Olympia's mind and transfer them into Ash's...
Of course, the images were still fragmented and confusing, preventing one from seeing through them at a glance.
But Ash was still able to make out some concrete figures among the countless images.
A giant red beast clad in magma armor...
A deep-blue, wide-winged giant whale, leaping from the sea surface...
And a slender, green giant dragon, coiling and traversing through the cloud layer.
"Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza..."
Ash naturally recognized these three Ancient Deities; they were all ancient beings of the Hoenn Region.
Did this mean that in the near future, these three Ancient Deities would all appear before him?!
"Wait a minute?!"
Ash's pupils suddenly constricted. Amidst the fragmented images, interspersed with countless blurry, mosaic-like squares, he saw a pitch-black existence.
"How did Rayquaza turn black?!"
Ash was utterly horrified. The originally emerald-green Rayquaza had suddenly turned pure black, appearing incredibly domineering and tyrannical!
"No, it didn't turn into..."
But in the next moment, Ash's expression changed drastically again.
Because in one of the images, he saw both the emerald-green Rayquaza and the pitch-black Rayquaza entangled, biting and fighting each other...
Just as he desperately focused his mind, trying to see more clearly...
*Whoosh!!*
The surrounding images vanished in an instant.
Before him, it was once again the interior of the Mossdeep Gym.
"Huu..."
Olympia let out a slight sigh of relief as she descended from the sky.
She couldn't look any further... This intensity was just right, enough to not cause her any harm.
"A white stone will guide you on the way home...!"
Olympia uttered the final sentence, serving as the closing words for this prophecy ritual.
