Chapter 209
Chapter 109 My USB Port is Already Leaking Oil
2024-05-15 Author: Samsung Charmander (Author Name)
In front of the Saffron Gym, Ash stood once again.
It wasn't just because his companions and Pokemon were still trapped inside; this was a Gym he had to conquer.
No matter what, Ash wouldn't shy away from it. The concept of only challenging weak Gyms and avoiding strong ones simply didn't exist in Ash's vocabulary.
Pikachu, perched on his shoulder, was ready for action. Ash took a deep, steady breath and pushed open the ancient main doors.
This time, it was still unlocked.
Passing through the pitch-black corridor, Ash once again found himself in the magnificent, high-class training ground within.
The familiar mahogany training ground stretched out before him, and at its far end, a black-haired woman sat primly on a large chair.
Her face was devoid of expression, utterly cold. But a dangerous red light flickered in her gaze, and she still held a Dressed Doll in her hands.
"Heehee. Servant of the handsome Pokedex, have you come to die again?"
Sabrina hadn't spoken yet; the Dressed Doll in her hands began to open and close its wooden mouth, emitting an eerie, hair-raising voice.
Before Ash could speak, the Pokedex automatically replied.
“Beep-boop. Your voice just turned my floppy disk into a hard drive.”
Ash: "..."
Sabrina: "..."
The two of them looked at each other simultaneously. Sabrina's gaze was cold and merciless, a faint blue telekinetic light swirling around her body.
It materialized into a giant hand that suddenly swatted out, about to capture Ash once again.
“You defeated foe! I let you get away last time. This time, you'll stay,” Sabrina shouted coldly.
As the giant hand attacked, before Ash could even move, Pikachu on his shoulder had already leaped forward.
A powerful bolt of electricity burst from its cheeks, clashing against the giant blue hand without a hint of weakness.
"BOOM!!"
Telekinesis and Lightning collided back and forth before finally exploding, the residual energy dissipating.
"Pika!"
Pikachu finally landed, Spark still crackling on its cheeks. Its small, round eyes glared menacingly at its opponent as it tossed its head to the side disdainfully.
*You really think I, Pikachu, am a pushover?*
"Wait, Sabrina! I didn't come here to fight you today!"
Ash quickly raised his hand in a stopping gesture, taking advantage of the lull before the second attack.
"The Rainbow Group has left Saffron City! You don't have to pretend to be a fool anymore!"
Sabrina had only pretended to be a ruthless madwoman who recognized no one in order to protect the Saffron Gym.
But now that the Rainbow Group was gone, she no longer needed to act so recklessly.
"A... a fool?"
Sabrina repeated the word stiffly.
First, her expression froze. Then, her long black hair began to float up, her gaze tightened, and rage shot to the heavens. She was clearly and utterly infuriated by the adjective Ash had used.
The blue telekinetic light around her body instantly switched to an eerie, intensely aggressive red telekinetic light, and sinister gusts of wind began to blow.
"Pika?"
Before Pikachu could react, it felt something slap it across the cheek, and its entire body was sent flying backward, smashing into the wall behind it.
"Pikachu!?"
Before Ash had time to act, in the next second, he too lost the ability to move his body.
Despite struggling with all his might, he couldn't move an inch.
"I don't believe you..."
Even she didn't dare do anything to the Rainbow Group. How could a mere Novice Trainer possibly succeed?
As she spoke, Sabrina prepared to use her strange Psychic Power to turn Ash into a Doll as well.
She raised her hand, about to fire a Doll Transformation Beam.
"Stop, Sabrina!"
Just then, a low shout rang out.
A flash of white light suddenly erupted in front of Ash, and then, with a *swoosh*, a figure appeared before him.
It was incredibly eerie.
Even more astonishingly, he simply raised a hand and swatted the dangerous Beam away.
"Sabrina, what this Youth says is true. The Rainbow Group has completely left Saffron City!"
the man said with a serious expression.
It was the middle-aged man with Psychic Power who had previously used Teleport to save Ash's life.
In truth, if he hadn't personally gone for a look around Silph Co., he wouldn't have believed his own words.
A Novice Trainer really drove out a behemoth like the Rainbow Group?
The new generation is terrifying.
Seeing the newcomer, Sabrina's emotions stabilized slightly. The black hair behind her head fell back down, and she finally began to consider what Ash had said earlier.
Bzzzz!
But it wasn't long before the Dressed Doll in her hands suddenly began to glow with a strange red light.
The red light spread out and connected with her. Feeling this Power, Sabrina's expression changed abruptly. The dangerous light returned to her once-calm eyes, and the long hair behind her head flew up again.
"But he called me a fool!!"
Following Sabrina's low cry, veins bulged on her forehead.
Terrifying red Telekinesis formed into a tangible, rippling shockwave that surged toward the two of them.
"..."
The middle-aged man quickly pulled Ash behind him, raising his hands to form a telekinetic shield, barely managing to block the attack.
However, Sabrina's Psychic Power was clearly on a higher level. The two were constantly forced back by her Telekinesis, and the area of the telekinetic shield was shrinking continuously.
They were like a small boat in the middle of surging ocean waves, in danger of capsizing at any moment.
Profuse sweat streamed down the middle-aged man's face. *I've really stepped in it with a Growlithe this time,* he cursed inwardly.
*Calling her a madwoman is one thing, but what was the big idea calling her a fool? Were you trying to insult her?*
"Youth, Sabrina isn't pretending to be crazy right now! Her Psychic Power is so strong it caused a Personality Split! We have to help her original, kind personality resurface."
the man hastily reminded him.
Ash hadn't expected Sabrina to suddenly go berserk either.
His original script was to come here, inform her of the facts, and then Sabrina would treat him as a guest of honor, and they'd have a nice chat over tea.
"What do we do? Sir, do you have a plan?"
The middle-aged man's gaze returned to the Demon God-like Sabrina, and he quickly locked onto a target.
"The key is that Dressed Doll! I'll hold her off from the front. You circle around and lure the Doll away. Without the Doll's influence, Sabrina's own Strength will be enough to bring her kind personality back."
"Got it!"
Ash instantly figured out his next move. Without a moment's hesitation, he rolled sharply to the side, dodging the range of Sabrina's red telekinetic light.
*Swoosh!*
Before Sabrina could react, he whipped a prized gadget from his waist and, without a second thought, hurled it in a specific direction.
Sure enough, upon seeing what the prized gadget was, the mouth of the Dressed Doll in Sabrina's hands suddenly began to twitch open and closed.
*Whoosh!*
Then, with a flicker of its form, it vanished from the spot.
In the next instant, it had reappeared in another location.
It was holding a red mechanical device, about the size of two palms, which had been moments away from crashing to the ground and turning into scrap metal.
It was Ash's Pokedex.
And as the Dressed Doll left her, a daze fell over Sabrina's mind.
One of her consciousnesses instantly seized the opportunity, took control of her body, and retracted all the red telekinetic light.
When she opened her eyes, the ferocious glint within them had vanished.
Although her expression was still cold, it had softened.
Elsewhere, the Dressed Doll began a bizarre conversation with the Pokedex.
"Heehee. Handsome Pokedex, you were almost smashed to bits by your servant."
“Beep-boop. Trash master. Your embrace is much warmer.”
The Dressed Doll popped out an eyeball with a *duang* sound and let out a strange laugh.
"Heehee, let's go to another room. I'll show you a big treasure."
The Pokedex also began to flash its red light erratically.
“Beep-boop. Just hearing you say that is making my USB port start to leak oil.”
"Heehee..."
“Beep-boop...”
And just like that, the Dressed Doll took the Pokedex and, with a *swoosh*, vanished from the sight of the three.
Sabrina: "..."
Ash: "?"
He had never expected the Pokedex to just go solo.
