Chapter 25

Chapter 25: Slapping Tang Hao Away

Sensing Aotian's aura grow even more terrifying, Tang Hao was utterly shocked.

His entire body's Soul Power circulated rapidly, just enough to resist the dreadful pressure bearing down on him.

He said in a deep voice, "No Soul Master could resist the temptation of a 100,000-year Soul Beast that has undergone human form transformation."

"You're already a Titled Douluo. If I'm not mistaken, you're either after her Soul Bone, or you want to imprison her and save her Soul Ring for someone else to absorb in the future," Aotian said.

Tang Hao sneered. "Aren't you thinking the same thing? A 100,000-year Soul Ring and Soul Bone—who wouldn't want them for the taking?"

"Not all Soul Beasts have the heart to harm others. Must you hunt them to extinction?" Aotian asked.

"Soul Masters killing Soul Beasts to absorb their Soul Rings and Soul Bones is the natural order of things. It has been this way since ancient times. What's wrong with that?" Tang Hao retorted.

"Well said." Aotian clapped, mocking him. "If I recall correctly, you were hunted by the Pope of Spirit Hall a few years ago precisely because of your Soul Beast wife. Your own wife is a Soul Beast, yet you say it's the natural order for Soul Masters to kill them. How ridiculous."

Tang Hao's expression changed, his face darkening as he roared, "A Yin is not a Soul Beast! In my eyes, she is a true human. She was kind, beautiful, and virtuous. Everyone from Spirit Hall deserves to die!"

"As for the lives and deaths of other Soul Beasts, what does that have to do with me?"

*If Tang San had been the one to befriend Xiao Wu at the beginning instead of me, I doubt you'd be thinking this way,* Aotian thought to himself.

Tang Hao's aura surged, his robes whipping about. The hood of his cloak was thrown back, revealing his grim face.

"Dragon Ancestor, since you also have your eyes on that Soul Beast, a battle between us is inevitable. If I lose, I will never set foot in Nuoding Academy again. If you lose, I will take the Soul Beast with me. How about it?"

"Fine," Aotian agreed.

Tang Hao nodded. With a thought, the Clear Sky Hammer was summoned.

A massive black hammer appeared behind him, floating in the air.

Both ends of the black hammer were covered in intricate patterns, emitting a terrifying Killing Aura.

One by one, Soul Rings rose from beneath his feet. With each one that appeared, Tang Hao's aura grew stronger.

Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black, Black, Black, Black, Red!

The last Soul Ring on Tang Hao was, shockingly, a 100,000-year Soul Ring.

His aura reached its peak, and as his eyes opened and closed, a frightening glint erupted from them.

Tang Hao's eyes were like lightning as they shot toward Aotian. He declared, "Tang Hao, Martial Soul Clear Sky Hammer, Level 95 Strong Attack System Titled Douluo. Please enlighten me!"

"Dragon Ancestor, Martial Soul Golden Dragon. Make your move." Facing the imposing Tang Hao, Aotian remained as calm as ever.

Tang Hao frowned. "Where is your Martial Soul?"

Aotian replied indifferently, "You are not worthy of me using my Martial Soul."

"Arrogant!" Tang Hao grew furious, believing Aotian was utterly humiliating him.

"Then let me show you whether I'm arrogant or not." Aotian chuckled softly, raised his right hand, and clenched his five fingers fiercely into a fist.

Rumble—

The earth quaked as five enormous stone pillars suddenly shot out from the ground around Tang Hao. Like Aotian's five fingers, they rapidly closed in on him.

*How is this possible!*

Tang Hao was horrified. To create such an attack out of thin air without even using a Soul Ring... was this young man called Dragon Ancestor even human?

Although he was deeply shaken, Tang Hao was rich in combat experience and reacted instantly.

The five stone pillars curved like fingers, trapping Tang Hao inside a cage in the blink of an eye.

Tang Hao frantically swung the Clear Sky Hammer in his hands, smashing it against the surrounding stone walls.

However, though the cage shook, it was not shattered by his Clear Sky Hammer.

Tang Hao grew more and more shocked. His opponent had trapped him with a mere flick of his fingers. Such a method was simply not something a mortal could possess.

The Clear Sky Hammer's technique suddenly changed. He unleashed the Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique, striking the stone wall with one blow after another.

Tang Hao's Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique had already reached the realm of great mastery. In the blink of an eye, he had already swung over a dozen times, its power rising exponentially.

Viewed from the outside, the cage formed by the five stone pillars looked like a giant cocoon, vibrating violently and constantly emitting booming sounds.

Aotian waved his hand, and his Divine Power formed a transparent barrier within a thousand-meter radius.

The sound, like muffled thunderclaps, was completely sealed within the barrier.

No one outside the barrier could sense the fluctuations of the battle within.

Aotian could clearly see Tang Hao inside the cage. The power of the Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique was increasing at an extremely fast rate. Within a few breaths, Tang Hao had already struck seventy-two times.

Cracks gradually appeared on the stone walls of the cage, spreading like a spiderweb and growing denser.

Aotian nodded. "Hmm, not bad. There's some power to it. The Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique is truly worthy of being a Soul Skill that can threaten a god."

The moment this thought crossed his mind, the simple cage he had created with a single thought was broken open by Tang Hao.

"Dragon Ancestor, take my hammer!" Tang Hao's aura was incomparably violent. Stomping his feet, he brandished the Clear Sky Hammer and shot towards Aotian.

He had already reached the seventy-sixth strike of the Chaotic Cloak Hammer Technique. Tang Hao was confident that not even a Level 99 Titled Douluo would dare to be careless against his seventy-sixth blow.

At this moment, facing Aotian, he no longer held any trace of contempt.

His opponent's methods were god-like, enough to make him go all out.

Tang Hao leaped, crossing over fifty meters in a single bound, and brought the massive black hammer in his hands down upon Aotian's head.

Aotian didn't react at all, allowing Tang Hao's Clear Sky Hammer to smash into his head.

Clang! The tyrannical Clear Sky Hammer seemed to strike a piece of immortal metal, failing to cause even the slightest bit of damage.

Under Tang Hao's shocked gaze, the Clear Sky Hammer bounced high into the air. The immense recoil numbed Tang Hao's hands, and he nearly lost his grip on the hammer.

"The power's alright. A decent massage, I suppose." Aotian grinned.

This single sentence frightened Tang Hao so much his heart nearly leaped out of his chest.

He spun his body, dissipating the immense recoil and converting it into power for his next strike, once again smashing it down on Aotian's head.

A sound like the tolling of a great bell echoed continuously within the thousand-meter radius.

By the end, Tang Hao's heart, once shocked, was now growing numb.

He even began to suspect that he was hallucinating, that an opponent like the Dragon Ancestor didn't exist at all, and that this was all just an illusion.

But then he thought again, his Spiritual Power was already incredibly strong, so how could he be having an illusion?

The eightieth strike. The intricate patterns on the Clear Sky Hammer lit up; that was the Killing God Domain imbued within it.

When the Killing God Domain was released, his own strength was enhanced while his enemy's was suppressed.

A wave of icy Killing Intent spread out.

"You... are too weak." Aotian had already lost interest.

The legendary Tang Hao of the Douluo Continent was nothing more than this.

Facing this strike, he finally made his move.

As the Clear Sky Hammer descended, he casually waved his right hand, slapping it against the hammer's head.

Tang Hao's world-shaking blow was effortlessly slapped away by Aotian, sending both man and hammer flying.
