Chapter 122: The Incapacitated Dai Mubai

Author: Xianyu Wangyue

When he rushed to Dai Mubai's side, Oscar already had a Big Sausage in his hand. He didn't care whether Dai Mubai was willing to eat it or not and shoved it directly into his mouth.

Without a second thought, Dai Mubai chewed a few times haphazardly and swallowed it. The agony of his shattered bones was nearly torturing him to death.

Although Aotian hadn't attacked his vital points, with so many shattered bones and numerous ruptured blood vessels, Dai Mubai would surely die if he didn't receive treatment and the situation was allowed to drag on.

Fortunately, Aotian hadn't shattered his teeth; otherwise, even eating Oscar's Big Sausage would have been difficult.

With the exception of his skull and spine, every bone in Dai Mubai's body was shattered. The restorative effect of Oscar's Big Sausage wasn't enough; its effect on such a severe injury wasn't significant. Not a single bone had started to mend, but the ruptured blood vessels began to heal.

"Aotian, you didn't kill him, did you?" Xiao Wu asked as soon as Aotian returned.

Aotian shook his head. "He won't die. His bones are shattered all over his body. Just like Ma Hongjun, he'll have to be bedridden for some time."

After speaking, he suddenly sensed Fighting Intent emanating from Tang San.

"Aotian, once I have a breakthrough to Soul Elder, I will fight you again," Tang San declared.

He knew that even after becoming a Soul Elder, he still wouldn't be able to defeat Aotian by relying on his Martial Soul. But what if he used his most advanced Hidden Weapons?

Even Zhao Wuji had been beaten so badly. Although Zhao Wuji hadn't used his full strength, Tang San believed he still had a chance of defeating Aotian.

"Tang San, come over and help! Help me get Boss Dai back," Oscar yelled from a distance.

Tang San strode over. Although he didn't particularly like Dai Mubai, as a classmate, he wouldn't just stand by and watch him die.

"Let's go," Aotian said, leading the way back. The four girls followed behind him.

Oscar stared at Aotian's retreating figure, clenched his fist, and said angrily, "This Aotian is too much! We're all classmates, not mortal enemies. To strike such a heavy blow... Is he even human?"

"He's always been like this," Tang San said. "In the past, every time I sparred with him, I was beaten badly, but I was never seriously injured. For him to hurt you this badly means you truly crossed his line."

Tang San looked at Dai Mubai lying on the ground and continued, "Now, do you still want to try and steal someone's girlfriend?"

Dai Mubai remained silent. The misery in his heart made him wish he could just pass out, but unfortunately, he couldn't.

"I'm definitely reporting him to the Dean," Oscar said. "Someone like him who doesn't know how to hold back is a threat to our safety. He can't stay at the Academy."

"If he truly didn't know how to hold back, he wouldn't have merely shattered Dai Mubai's bones without endangering his life," Tang San retorted. "That level of control is beyond what an ordinary person can achieve."

Oscar was left speechless, wanting to argue but unable to come up with a strong rebuttal.

Tang San said, "You watch him here. I'll go back and get the Dean. Remember, most of the bones in his body are shattered, so don't move him around."

Tang San also knew some medical arts; after feeling a few places on Dai Mubai's body, he understood his condition.

"Then go quickly and come back soon."

Tang San nodded, got up, and ran toward the Academy. When he caught up with Aotian's group, he didn't say hello.

"Aotian, you beat Dai Mubai to such a state. Do you think the Dean will punish you?" Xiao Wu asked.

Aotian chuckled. "No."

"Why not? We've only just entered Shrek Academy, and you've already beaten an older student so badly."

"Because we acted according to Shrek Academy's rules. Don't they encourage fighting? They even said anything goes as long as no one is killed. I didn't violate the academy rules."

Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong trailed behind Aotian like a pair of walking dead, still not having recovered from the shock of Aotian's dominant victory over Dai Mubai.

A Level 31 had actually defeated a Level 36, and without even using his Martial Soul. Just how was that accomplished?

The image of Aotian's overwhelming dominance, beating Dai Mubai so thoroughly that he was powerless to fight back despite giving it his all—those scenes replayed endlessly in the two girls' minds.

If, like Tang San, they had been unable to predict the winner before the match, they wouldn't have been so stunned by the outcome.

But they had been certain from the very beginning that Aotian would lose, and lose completely. Therefore, when Aotian defeated Dai Mubai with such effortless, crushing force, it left them shocked beyond words.

They were already immensely curious about Aotian. Now, in their eyes, he was shrouded in an even thicker, mysterious veil, stirring a desire within them to pull it back and uncover his secrets.

"What's wrong with you two? Why are you so quiet?" Xiao Wu asked, feigning confusion.

In truth, she desperately wanted to laugh, feeling incredibly smug. Aotian was her man, and he had brought her great honor. How could she not be delighted?

If she weren't considerate of Zhu Zhuqing's and Ning Rongrong's feelings, Xiao Wu would have already burst out laughing. As it was, she could only gloat inwardly.

"I-it's nothing," Ning Rongrong stammered. Both she and Zhu Zhuqing couldn't help but blush, feeling a pang of shame for having underestimated Aotian.

Before the fight, they had repeatedly said Aotian would lose. Now, reality had delivered a harsh slap to their faces, making them burn with embarrassment.

Just as they arrived back at the village entrance, they saw Tang San rushing out with Flander and Zhao Wuji.

Flander shot Aotian a cool glance but said nothing. He grabbed Tang San and sped toward the small woods.

Aotian's group returned to the dormitory. Aotian said, "You all should go back and rest."

Gu Yuena shook her head. "I'm waiting here. If that Flander dares to lay a hand on you, I will cripple him."

Aotian dotingly stroked Gu Yuena's head and chuckled. "Your husband isn't a pushover. Do you think I'd let myself be bullied so easily?"

Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong stared at Gu Yuena in astonishment. Their minds had been in a daze, and they wondered if they had misheard her.

Cripple Flander? He was a Soul Saint!

A Soul Elder was threatening to cripple a Soul Saint. Wasn't that a joke?

Although they knew it was impossible, for some reason, neither Zhu Zhuqing nor Ning Rongrong could bring themselves to laugh.

The five of them stood at the entrance to the male dormitory. Before long, they saw Flander and Zhao Wuji returning, carrying a door panel with Dai Mubai lying on top of it.

Tang San and Oscar trailed behind them.

Inside his room, Ma Hongjun heard the commotion and shouted, "Who's out there?"

Flander kicked the door open and carried Dai Mubai inside.

"Boss Dai, what happened to you? Who did this to you?" Ma Hongjun's horrified voice rang out.

Aotian calmly followed them in, with Gu Yuena and the other girls entering right behind him.

Flander and Zhao Wuji carefully moved Dai Mubai from the door panel to his bed. During the transfer, Dai Mubai grimaced, his face contorting in agony.

Ma Hongjun stared at Dai Mubai, who looked like a dead pig, his mind completely blank.

What was going on? It was bad enough that he himself had been burned, but how did Dai Mubai also end up in this ghastly state?

The healing teacher, who had rushed over at the sound of the commotion, immediately began to treat Dai Mubai.

"Dean, Dai Mubai's injuries are even more severe than Ma Hongjun's. It will take him at least a month to recover."

Having received treatment, color had returned to Dai Mubai's face. But upon hearing the teacher's words, he felt so miserable he could have died.

The thought that he would be unable to care for himself, needing help with even basic bodily functions just like Ma Hongjun, made him want to smash his head against something and die. Unfortunately, he couldn't even do that.

At this moment, he was filled with deep regret. He regretted provoking that monster, Aotian.

No matter how beautiful women were, one had to be alive to enjoy them.

He thought of his various girlfriends in Soto City. If he didn't go and dote on them for a month, he wondered, wouldn't they get lonely?
