Chapter 67: Guidance, The Middleman (5500)

"Whoosh!"

An arrow was shot from above, embedding itself in Sabretooth's shoulder.

Sabretooth looked up at Hawkeye standing on the sixth-floor Terrace, silently gripping the arrow shaft and pulling the arrow out with brute force.

The barbed arrowhead tore off a large chunk of flesh from Sabretooth's shoulder.

The intense pain made Sabretooth frown involuntarily. He then snapped the arrow shaft in his hand with his thumb.

Beep beep beep...

At the connection point of the arrow's metal arrowhead, a short explosion sound rang out, accompanied by flashing red light.

Boom! With a violent explosion, half of Sabretooth's arm was blown into a bloody mess, and half of his body was almost skeleton-like.

On the sixth-floor Terrace, Hawkeye didn't dare delay. He drew another arrow, nocked it on his bow, and aimed at Sabretooth.

Whoosh! Another arrow shot down, and the explosive arrow engulfed Sabretooth in firelight again.

One, two, three...

After shooting four arrows, Hawkeye reached back to his quiver, his fingers brushing over a few arrows. He hesitated for a moment, glanced at Sabretooth in the firelight, and turned to run quickly back into the Room.

From the smoke, dust, and firelight, Sabretooth, whose charred bones were visible through his burnt figure, strode out.

With every step, Sabretooth's wounds would partially heal. Muscles grew along his bones and fascia, followed by blood vessels and skin. He left a trail of bloody footprints on the Deck. By the time Sabretooth reached the staircase, all the wounds on his body had completely healed.

"Cool!"

The explosion attracted many people to poke their heads out of their Rooms to look.

A four or five-year-old blond boy stood on a chair watching Sabretooth's flesh regrow. He wasn't scared but clapped his hands loudly and shouted as if he had seen a new and interesting toy.

The young woman beside him was startled and quickly covered the boy's mouth, pulling him back into the Room.

Sabretooth strode through the Ship, passing the second and third floors. Just as he reached the staircase on the fourth-floor corridor.

Whoosh! Hawkeye poked his head out from the seventh-floor corridor, nocked an arrow on his bow, and shot it directly through Sabretooth's chest.

The strangely shaped umbrella-shaped arrowhead, the moment it entered Sabretooth's body, several micro-hooks quickly spread outwards, hooking onto the surrounding flesh and skin.

Sabretooth had just gripped the arrow shaft, but before he could pull the arrow out,

At the seventh-floor staircase, Hawkeye used a crowbar to push a huge iron anchor into the Ocean.

The other end of the iron anchor was connected to the tail of the arrow by a black rope.

The iron anchor plummeted towards the Ocean.

The immense force caused Sabretooth to stumble, his body uncontrollably falling towards the outside of the corridor.

Roar! Sabretooth forcefully pushed off a section of the iron railing at the staircase with his feet, wrapped the black rope around his arm with one hand, and relied purely on brute strength to hold back the heavy iron anchor weighing several thousand pounds.

Seeing this, Hawkeye drew another arrow, brushed it against his waist, and attached a special arrowhead to the arrow shaft.

Nocking the arrow, Hawkeye aimed and shot towards the Ship Cabin above. The sharp arrowhead plunged directly into the Metal Cabin Wall, and the arrowhead popped out five metal claws, firmly hooking onto the surrounding Cabin Wall.

Hawkeye took a breath, grabbed the arrow shaft with one hand, and leaped directly down from the seventh floor.

Bang! Using the momentum of his rapid descent, Hawkeye delivered a fierce kick to Sabretooth's waist.

Crash!

Pulled by the heavy iron anchor, combined with Hawkeye's supplementary flying kick, Sabretooth could no longer hold on and fell directly into the Sea.

A considerable splash erupted on the Sea Surface. Sabretooth struggled to swim to the surface, letting out an angry roar at the receding Passenger Ship.

Just as Hawkeye watched the Sea Surface and finally breathed a sigh of relief, Sabretooth flew out of the Sea, standing on a huge iron anchor, and chased after the Passenger Ship through the air.

Hawkeye's face stiffened. He turned his head and looked towards the second floor where the Restaurant was located.

At the entrance of the second-floor Restaurant, there was a protruding Terrace. On the Terrace, several bamboo chairs were arranged. Under a sun umbrella, a tall old man was chatting and laughing with an Asian wearing a white suit.

As if sensing Hawkeye's gaze, the tall old man glanced at him, and that cold look sent a shiver down Hawkeye's spine.

Hawkeye's hand went to the arrows behind him, but facing Magneto, even he, known as Marvel's top marksman, had no confidence whatsoever.

"Mr. Erik, you can rest assured about the quality of this batch of automatic cannons. They are genuine Soviet goods, sturdy and durable, with great power. You said you have an island, that's easy to handle. Look at these coastal defense guns. Within twenty nautical miles, no one will be able to approach your territory!"

Tang Song, smoking a carrot-thick Cuban cigar, smiled and interrupted Magneto's gaze.

Tang Song reached out and took some color photos from a Bodyguard beside him, handing them to Magneto.

Magneto flipped through the photos in his hand. Facing these seemingly bulky and crude but clearly powerful cannons, Magneto Erik, who had originally decided not to be fooled again after buying automatic cannons, couldn't help but start spending money again.

Tang Song watched Magneto look through the photos with a smile.

He was secretly pleased. Let Lane say his sales skills were poor again. See, a whole warehouse of goods was sold off just like that.

Mutants are good people! Calculating the profit brought by this business, Tang Song's smile became even brighter.

He certainly wasn't doing it for the money; he was doing it for the mutant liberation cause, for freedom and democracy.

Look, Black people can stand up in the Federation, why can't Mutants?

If Tang Song remembered correctly, those who supported Black independence back then received quite a lot of benefits.

At worst, if Magneto could really lead the Mutants to rise up and resist, wouldn't he have a buyer for arms business every year?

"These, these, plus these, how much in total?"

Magneto picked out a few pictures from the table.

"Two thousand AKs, one million bullets, thirty automatic cannons, six Hinds, twenty coastal defense guns. The total is two hundred seventy-six million US dollars!"

Tang Song picked up a calculator from the side and rapidly tapped on it in front of Magneto.

Two hundred seventy-six million US dollars. Looking at the number displayed on the calculator in Tang Song's hand, Magneto's facial muscles twitched.
