Chapter 860

Chapter 844: Restoration

The conflict between the New Gods and the Celestials had long been detected by some deities lurking within the Multiverse. They couldn't wait for the two sides to tear each other apart—mutual destruction would be for the best.

But some did not think so. On the contrary, they were infuriated by the immense destruction caused by the great battle between the two factions.

"This bunch of bastards, can't they just stay quiet for a while!"

Prime Monitor Mandrakk was extremely furious. After donning the guise of a Monitor once again, this Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Department had been operating in secret, to the extent that he hadn't even returned to the Editorial Department.

He was confident, and he had every reason to be. During this time, he had been secretly contacting the Monitor race beyond the Source Wall. Although he had only managed a brief exchange, he had yet to receive a definitive response.

Mandrakk felt that, at the very least, he possessed more secret information than that fool Mobius, and he was more ambitious and capable.

As a high-level member of the Monitor race, coupled with his years in charge of the Editorial Department, monitoring the Multiverse in the form of an author and indirectly receiving news from the Sphere of the Gods, he had long had his own plans.

"I'm not surprised that the New Gods and the Celestials are fighting, but I didn't expect even the Grand Judge to get involved. I just hope he doesn't reset the entire Multiverse, or all my hard work will have been for nothing."

Mandrakk rose to his feet. His slender body, which looked as if it had no skin and was only a twisted entanglement of red muscle, gazed into a distant corner of the Multiverse.

Others might not know the origins of this Grand Judge, but Mandrakk did. With the mysterious OAA backing him, few would dare to touch the Grand Judge. In fact, for many Old Gods, they didn't even know what OAA was, or if it even existed.

If not for the fact that the Monitor race had a supreme god named the Prime Monitor, who possessed the supreme authority and powerful ability to monitor a host of Tier-Ten concepts like God, the Great Evil Beast, and OAA, Mandrakk would never have come into contact with information of that level.

With the Prime Monitor's existence, the Monitor race was destined for greatness and immortality. Everything in the world was within the Prime Monitor's surveillance.

"One day, I will become an even greater being. Not just OAA, but even those World Judges beyond the Source Wall will..."

*(The World Judges exist in the comics; this is not something the author made up. They were briefly mentioned in a recent DC Comics issue, where it seems the Creator Gods of the Omniverse and the Sphere of the Gods were dealt with quite brutally by these World Judges. However, to know the inside story of the World Judges, we'll probably have to wait a few years. It's possible that in a few years, a new comic editor might just retcon it all on a whim, undoing the previous editor's settings with a stroke of the pen... This is something they've done more than once. They can't even fill the plot holes they dig themselves. It's fun to dig a hole, but who cares how future generations will fill it...)*

Mandrakk snorted coldly, a fierce look appearing on his long, pointed face. He continued to bury his head in his work, his face filled with yearning and fanaticism.

At the same time, streams of divine consciousness swept across the Blood Realm, heading straight for the battle zone. However, they were blocked by the Speed Force Wall and the Grand Judge's energy field. They could only wait in suspense for the result, vaguely sensing that a higher-level power had intervened in this great war, and they had no idea what the outcome would be.

"The New Gods are truly terrifying. How long has it been, and they're already fighting such a horrifying opponent..."

"Tsk, tsk, the Celestials have finally met their match, and a powerful, uncompromising one at that."

...

The Destroyer Celestial was practically seething with rage. The hot-tempered Seeker brandished his warhammer and charged ferociously at Tony, roaring repeatedly.

This was outrageous!

It was one thing for you to fight five of us and not lose, stealing all the limelight and causing the Celestials to lose all face! But now, in front of the Grand Judge, you have the gall to demand taking one of the Top Ten Celestials as a decorative piece!

A disgrace!

The shame of the Celestials!

The four Celestials fell into a rage. Their energy roiled, their divine power erupted, their bodies swelled, and a dazzling divine light rose infinitely.

Tony sneered and lifted the Collector's head. With a deafening crash, he blocked the Seeker's attack and quickly diverted a large amount of the energy field to bombard the Seeker.

Under Tony's control, the Collector's body also began to move, pouncing viciously at the Experimenter. A chaotic battle was on the verge of breaking out.

However, Tony did not use the Allspark. The Grand Judge gave him a very dangerous feeling.

"One million years. This matter ends here!" the Grand Judge whispered coolly. Everyone's movements suddenly froze. An orange field of light enveloped the area, like an indestructible shackle, binding everyone present.

Tony's expression changed slightly. He unleashed a portion of his Power of Singularity, but it only managed to shake the restraint a little, like a mortal who had fallen into a mire, struggling to move.

With a single move, the Grand Judge displayed his terrifying strength, a level of power that far surpassed everyone present!

"As expected of OAA's adjutant. I just don't know how his role is positioned relative to the Living Tribunal... It seems that if I go to the Sphere of the Gods in the future, I'll have to find a way to make contact with the Living Tribunal."

Tony narrowed his eyes and remained silent.

The Grand Judge was very strong, at least at the quasi-ninth level. As for who was stronger or weaker between him and the Living Tribunal, or whose authority was higher, that was not something the current Tony could judge. He wasn't at that level yet.

However, even as his heart tightened, a great weight was lifted from his shoulders. As he understood it, the Grand Judge's purpose was "judgment." In the sharp conflict between him and the Celestials, the Celestials had been in the wrong from the very beginning. The Grand Judge did not deliberately favor the Celestials, but instead made a relatively reasonable ruling.

Beams of light emerged. The Grand Judge extended his hand and took away the Destroyer Celestial and the other Celestials, along with the Collector's body. He left only the Collector's head behind. According to the agreement, Tony would keep this head for one million years, after which it would be returned to its original owner.

The Speed Force Wall also slowly dissipated. The Collective Consciousness never even showed itself; it was unknown what the Grand Judge had communicated to it.

Finally, the Grand Judge gave Tony a silent, high-minded, and ruthless glance. No one could know his true thoughts. Perhaps this Grand Judge had no thoughts of his own; he was fundamentally an adjudication robot who obeyed OAA.

The dazzling beams of light tore through the Blood Realm and swiftly departed in an unknown direction. Tony squinted, trying to follow them, but he was unable to track the Celestials' destination.

He had been thinking of finding the Celestials' main base. If war were to break out again one day in the future, Tony would need to find a way to destroy the manufacturing base of the Top Ten Celestials to avoid being overwhelmed by a ceaseless tide of mass-produced models.

Soon, the Speed Force vanished completely.

A subtle wave spread out, almost covering the entire Multiverse. The Grand Judge's power unfurled, and all the space-time and deceased life that Tony had destroyed were restored to their original state.

This was a simple matter. Even someone like Mr. Mxyzptlk could restore a collapsing Multiverse with a single snap, to say nothing of a powerful being like the Grand Judge.
