Chapter 807: Zarathos's Dream

2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit

The Life Entity was elusive.

Tony could clearly feel the Life Entity's power, but he had no way of actually catching the creature.

But just knowing the Life Entity was on Cybertron was enough.

The Life Entity fluttered its wings.

"Finally decided to show yourself?"

Tony watched it with a dark gaze.

"You're always scheming against me, and against Nekron too."

The Life Entity flew wantonly above the great hall, remaining silent for a while before finally speaking.

The corner of Tony's mouth twitched. "So?"

The Life Entity fell into an even longer silence, clearly not expecting this guy to admit it so shamelessly.

*Pah, so shameless.*

"You, as you are now, are not enough. You can't control the Emotional Spectrum through absolute power alone. Although a Tier Eight Singular God is powerful, it's not powerful enough to master the Emotional Spectrum. Even the Living Tribunal couldn't do it."

The Living Tribunal, guardian of Order, the highest Grand Judge, a Tier Nine Omnipotent Being.

"That may be so, but if you cooperate with me willingly, there shouldn't be a problem..." Tony said nonchalantly.

Forcibly controlling it wasn't out of the question. Nekron was one thing, but the Life Entity was the real trouble. Although Tony had a vague plan, it was still immature and needed more time...

There was no rush.

Tony held Wanda tightly in his arms. Though his gaze seemed as steady as a rock, his heart was already on high alert.

"To completely purge the Darkness left by Nekron, the Brightest Day must truly arrive. This will suppress the possibility of Nekron's rapid revival to a minimum."

The Life Entity said, "I need to borrow some warriors from you."

"Alright, I'll lend you all the single dogs. As long as you can guarantee their safety, you can pick whomever you like."

Tony said calmly. As soon as he finished speaking, he opened a portal and teleported the two super-dogs, Krypto and Cosmo, over, tossing them toward the Life Entity.

"Woof woof woof?" Krypto and Cosmo barked in confusion.

The Life Entity was stunned by this baffling move, frozen in place.

Wanda's eyes also widened in astonishment. She glanced back and forth between Tony and the Life Entity, her gaze turning suspicious and thoughtful. Gradually, her eyes also filled with wariness.

The clever Wanda had already figured something out and was utterly shocked. The Life Entity's preferences were this depraved?

The Life Entity was incredibly frustrated, and its urge to find someone to beat Tony to death grew ever stronger.

"Breaking up couples can force them to erupt with terrifyingly immense Emotional Energy. You don't understand."

The Life Entity lectured, "In the face of death and hope, in the face of a new Tier, all of a life form's complex emotions will erupt at once. If I then use a reasonable excuse to forcibly separate them, I can get a huge return of Emotional Energy. It's a pure profit with no downside..."

After speaking, it cast a meaningful glance at Tony, then stealthily looked toward Wanda.

Tony's eyes turned cold.

"Get out! Go wreak havoc on Earth! If you dare try that on Cybertron, I will hunt you to the ends of the universe!"

But the Life Entity wasn't afraid in the slightest. "Then bring it on. I can cross the Source Wall. Why don't you try crossing it and show me?"

Tony let out a savage laugh, stood up quickly, and after whispering a few words to Wanda, lunged fiercely at the Life Entity.

In a flash of white light, the two of them vanished, having jumped to some unknown world.

...

Putting aside the hostility between Tony and the Life Entity for now.

With Nekron's defeat, new waves were rapidly brewing. The insane speed of this New God's progress made a host of Ancient Beings spit up blood in anger and go mad with jealousy.

Tony's rapid Ascension gave these old geezers, who had lived for who knows how many years, the absurd feeling that "getting stronger is easy."

It felt like the New God had just eaten and drank his way to becoming more powerful...

The sense of crisis in the hearts of some dangerous individuals grew to an unprecedented level. The less patient among them couldn't hold back any longer.

Tony was well aware that many strange characters had snuck into the Prime Universe. His finding a reasonable excuse to leave was also a way to observe from the sidelines, calculating who could be killed and who needed to be watched for a while longer before being killed.

The Jade Emperor of the Heavenly Court was a bit strange. Tony already had a faint guess as to what was going on, but it required further confirmation.

The High Council of the Celestials had entered the Prime Universe as a group. If these guys left obediently after finishing their business, Tony wouldn't bother starting an all-out conflict with the Celestials. Otherwise, facing Eternity and the Sleeping Celestial would be an extremely tricky matter.

Another one of the more famous intruders was Zarathos, who had snuck over from Hell.

Zarathos carefully concealed his presence, warily observing the changes in every particle around him and cautiously hiding his tracks.

"The Blackest Night is over already?"

Zarathos stared with his blood-red eyes, angrily yanking on the horns on his head, so furious he wanted to headbutt a planet.

He had wanted to snatch food from the mouths of Nekron, the Life Entity, and the New God. Taking out even one of them would have brought him enormous benefits, allowing his power to leap forward once again.

Zarathos had a dream. He wanted to take out all three at once and become the number one Archdemon, surpassing Trigon. He would punch the Endless of Hell and kick Michael of Heaven, ascending to the pinnacle of demonkind.

But that dream was destined to be shattered. The war had seemingly ended with astonishing speed, and the New God had gained everything, stabbing Zarathos's restless heart with a vicious blow.

"The Spectre could return at any moment. What the hell should I do?" Zarathos was caught in a massive dilemma.

The mere thought of a disgusting entity like a Spirit of Vengeance made Zarathos's skin crawl. The unbearable memories of his past tormented his soul.

In truth, Zarathos was a regular visitor to the Prime Universe. His last visit was a mere twenty thousand years ago.

Back then, he had taken a liking to Earth, a place with a special vibrational frequency and subtle connections to the Earths of other universes. The supremely confident Archdemon Zarathos had spotted it at a glance.

At that time, Earth had few powerhouses and was barren of life. The Eternals and Deviants, the planet's main combat forces, had only recently disappeared from Earth, making it the perfect time for Lord Zarathos to stretch his limbs and turn the Prime Universe's Earth into his private domain.

But it was precisely during this power vacuum on Earth that something terrible happened.

A Fire Rain fell from the sky, suddenly covering every corner of the planet. A group of bizarre creatures was born along with the fire rain, and the moment Zarathos revealed himself, they launched a frenzied attack on him, causing him endless misery.

That's right, the creatures born from the Fire Rain all shared a common name—the Spirits of Vengeance!
