Chapter 765

Chapter 749: The Trap

This was the first time Tony and Savitar had talked face-to-face. Before this, even if they had what could be called a collaboration, it was merely by chance. It couldn't really be said that one owed the other any great favor.

For Tony and Savitar, the idea of them paying a great price for the other was nonsense. Moreover, without any benefit or pure coincidence, they would absolutely never have any dealings with each other.

Because both of them were difficult guys to deal with, and very troublesome.

Tony was wary of Savitar because the bastard's speed was too fast. Tony couldn't even catch Savitar—no, he couldn't even glimpse his back. Even if he wasn't afraid of Savitar, he still had to consider the others around him. If Savitar targeted them, it would be very difficult to protect them all.

Savitar was wary of Tony because Tony was the first-ever Singular God born in the Multiverse, unaffected by changes in the timeline. Furthermore, the Speed Force Wall wouldn't attack Tony the way it repelled other Singular Gods, unless Tony courted death and did something like destroying countless universes.

If these two were to truly fight today, it would likely end in a stalemate... Or rather, Tony's chances of winning were slightly higher, because Savitar still didn't know what trump cards Tony was hiding.

After all, there was no shortage of Ancient Gods who had been screwed over to the point of tears by a seemingly weak Tony.

The window opened. The removed Armor fell into darkness, maintaining a half-kneeling posture as the luster flowing across its surface vanished completely.

Savitar watched Tony with a cold gaze. After staring for a moment, he indifferently reached out and picked up the cup of tea, but he didn't drink it, merely holding it in his hand.

On that half-burnt face, one could clearly see red flesh trembling with the pulse of his heart. Exposed blue veins clung to the ruddy flesh, twitching from time to time.

"Why don't you fix your face? Don't tell me the Speed Force can't do it."

Tony took a sip of tea and pointed at Savitar's face.

"It's not necessary." Savitar sneered.

Savitar consciously controlled the Speed Force's Healing Factor, preventing it from restoring the ugly scars on his face. This was his most shameful memory.

His transformation from a just and brave The Flash to his current hysterical disposition began with this devastated face.

He had risked his life to help his original self defeat a powerful enemy, intending only to take the enemy down with him, but his original self repaid him with rejection and estrangement. Even his so-called friends avoided him.

Besides... who's to say the one who pulled him out was the *real* 'original self'? They were all the same, merely The Flash from different points in time, all of them real beings.

"This is the mark I use to distinguish myself from The Flash. I am me. All the Doppelgängers besides me are The Flash, and they can all be killed!"

Savitar bared a set of grim, white teeth, the corner of his hideous half-face twitching unconsciously.

Tony shrugged, unconcerned. He had no interest in interfering with the feud between Savitar and The Flash. It had nothing to do with him; only a fool would get involved arbitrarily.

"Out with it. Why did you seek me out? If it's to ask me to help you destroy the Speed Force Wall, then forget it. I'm not that stupid. I won't provoke a powerful enemy who is troublesome and might even be on my side," Tony said flatly.

Savitar sneered, "You're overthinking it. It's something even the guys from the Sphere of the Gods can't do, how could a New God like you possibly accomplish it? You think too highly of yourself."

Tony's mouth twitched.

Where did this urge to punch someone come from?

Mocking and belittling him so unscrupulously on their first meeting... He suddenly seemed to understand why Savitar was so detestable.

Savitar said gravely, "I need you to help me severely damage the Speed Force Wall!"

Tony: "..."

With a cold face, Savitar said grimly, "Just because you can't do it now doesn't mean you won't be able to in the future. You still have a group of Ancient Gods in the Sphere of the Gods who are willing to help you. As long as you grow a little more, it's entirely possible to suppress the Speed Force Wall. I am patient."

"And why should I help you?"

"Because I am Savitar!!"

Savitar's body jolted, and arcs of Speed Force energy crackled around him, his aura shockingly intimidating.

"..."

Tony was silent for a long time, suppressing the Killing Intent to slap this guy to death. After thinking for a moment, he slowly said, "To me, you don't have that kind of value. You're not worth it."

This time, it was Savitar's turn to fall silent...

Tony sighed. *This guy hasn't been locked in the Speed Force Prison so long he's gone stupid, has he?* On second thought, it was very possible. As a corrupted Barry Allen, Savitar would absolutely receive special attention from the Speed Force's Collective Consciousness. It was possible he'd be locked up until the end of time.

Even the genuine superhero, The Flash, became a crazed mental patient after being locked up in there. Let alone a guy whose personality was already extremely insane and who was on the Collective Consciousness's Blacklist.

*Tsk, tsk, tsk, how pathetic...*

Savitar lowered his head in thought, set the teacup aside, and said in a cold voice, "You are already a God, but I am not. Help me kill my nemesis, and I will help you in return."

Tony frowned, pondered for a moment, then said flatly, "I don't see any possibility of you defeating that Flash."

The Ultimate Flash who created the Speed Force Wall has grown to an extremely terrifying level of power. Although his whereabouts are mysterious and few have ever seen him in action, this very fact makes him seem all the more frightening.

Someone who has been around for countless years and created the Speed Force Wall, this colossal entity that protects the Multiverse... how powerful must the real person be?

"I have a plan..."

Savitar slowly clenched his fists, a large amount of white Speed Force arcs dancing on his fingertips. "I'm looking for someone. I will use him to forge a powerful lightning weapon. As long as I can find him, I will become... a God!"

"What person?" Tony held his teacup, his expression unchanging as he sat in his chair.

"An... assassin!"

Savitar's body flickered. He had already donned his Armor again, the white streams flowing across it once more. Savitar gave Tony one last look, the eyes behind his helmet flashed, and with a *swoosh*, his figure vanished from the spot.

Tony watched calmly until all traces of Savitar had completely disappeared and the flow of time returned to normal. Only then did he become lost in thought.

"Assassin... weapon... I think I know what he's looking for. What a madman. Playing like this could easily get himself killed."

But Savitar had no other choice. In terms of raw power, he was definitely no match for the Ultimate Flash, not to mention the Speed Force Wall looming over him.

"However, wanting me to make a move to tie down the Speed Force Wall when the time comes... Heh!"

A smirk formed on Tony's lips.

Following the normal course of development, once Tony's power grew to the limit of the Speed Force Wall's tolerance, he would definitely be attacked and expelled by it. The wall couldn't wait for Tony to scram and head to the Sphere of the Gods. The two sides were bound to fight sooner or later.

But... who he would strike at when that time comes was still uncertain...
