Chapter 740: What Do You Have to Compare to Me!!!
Duzun walked out of the hall, his face sullen. His mind roared with anger, as if two voices were furiously tearing each other apart inside his head.
One voice bellowed: "Kneel! Having a Singular God as a father is no loss!"
The other roared: "You can't kneel! If you call him 'Dad' now, wouldn't you lose all face? Shouldn't you hold out a little longer before calling him Dad?!"
Duzun was so angry he was seeing stars. He furiously pushed open the doors and stepped outside onto the steel ground, taking a deep breath.
The sight of various peculiar plants around him dispelled the resentment in his heart. Warm Sunlight shone down, and the Radiation from the Positive Matter Sun on his body gave him a layer of goosebumps, making him slightly uncomfortable.
Not all Kryptonians were the same. In some universes, Superman grew stronger by absorbing the energy of a Yellow Sun, but other Supermen would only grow weaker from exposure to Yellow Sun Radiation.
This was even more true for an Anti-matter Life Form like Duzun; being irradiated by a sun of the diametrically opposed Positive Matter would naturally cause discomfort.
His situation as an Anti-Matter Ultraman was still within the realm of comprehension. The Positive-Matter Ultraman currently rampaging through some unknown universe didn't get any benefit from sunlight—he actually had to eat Green Kryptonite to get stronger...
After a long while, Duzun finally managed to calm himself down, but a squirming unease, like a maggot, continued to secretly gnaw at his pride, trapping him in a state of immense conflict.
Should he kneel now, or should he hold out a little longer before kneeling...?
That is, until he met a man with a flaming head.
Duzun froze.
Dormammu stopped in his tracks, his expression startled.
The two looked at each other with suspicion in their eyes. They weren't sure if it was a trick of the mind, but they could clearly sense the aura of their own kind from the other.
The two powerful beings stared each other down. As their eyes met, the ferocity and suppressed ambition within them burned brightly, nearly breaking free from the confines of their bodies to illuminate the entire planet.
"I hear you're Tony's son?" Dormammu snorted coldly, lifting his chin and speaking first with arrogance.
"And who the hell are you?" Duzun clenched his fists, his expression savage.
Their gazes locked, clashing like swords.
After a moment of silence, Dormammu sneered. He subconsciously puffed out his chest, shook his body, and his flames swelled. A vast and majestic aura erupted from him, intimidating all creation. He said indifferently, "What kind of thing are you to dare speak to me in that tone! I am Tony's lifelong enemy! The Great Entity whose might shakes the Multiverse!"
Duzun was shocked into a strange silence.
A lifelong enemy of the Singular God... that was terrifying. As far as Duzun knew, Tony had fought with many Ancient Deities, and not just once, but he had never heard of anyone who claimed to be Tony's lifelong enemy.
He frowned, staring intently at Dormammu, quickly searching his mind for any information about him.
The result... was nothing.
Among the famous beings in the intelligence he possessed, it seemed none of them were a flaming black head...
As a major figure in the Anti-Matter Universe with the Anti-Monitor backing him, Duzun had run rampant for far too long. He naturally knew many secrets and had access to all sorts of high-level information. Logically, if Dormammu was so formidable, he should have at least heard of him.
After a moment of contemplation, Duzun took a deep breath. The cape behind him suddenly billowed without any wind, its blood-red collar fluttering gently. His blue battle suit shimmered with a heart-stopping luster as he declared forcefully, "Steppenwolf was once defeated at my hands!"
Dormammu's expression changed. His incredibly imposing aura faltered for an instant, and a look of shocked uncertainty appeared in his eyes.
Seeing this, Duzun's confidence soared, and his face immediately reflected it. The corner of his mouth involuntarily curled into a subtle arc, just noticeable enough. His eyes, filled with sinister cruelty, suddenly glared forward as he growled, "Darkseid is my loyal admirer!"
Dormammu's pupils constricted.
Duzun took a step forward. The steel ground, under immense pressure, instantly caved in with an astonishing sound.
"In order to adopt me as his son, he was willing to slaughter hundreds of universes, but to no avail! He had no choice but to select a pathetic substitute!"
"You might have heard of that substitute. His name is Dark Superman! Many people say that Dark Superman might have a chance to surpass Golden Superman and become the strongest Superman!"
"But a mere Dark Superman is nothing more than a substitute that the wretch Darkseid found for me!"
"And now, even the great Tony cried and begged for me to be his son. Seeing his sincerity, I reluctantly agreed..."
"You, this unknown thing, how can you compare to me?! Huh?! Is there a Singular God willing to adopt you as a son? Huh?!"
Dormammu was stunned. The flames on his head began to flicker chaotically, flaring up and dimming irregularly. He looked completely dumbfounded, frozen in place.
Just as Duzun was about to sneer, Dormammu suddenly snorted and said coldly, "Once, Tony sought out three Level Seven Archmages to negotiate with me."
Duzun's brow furrowed, and his rapidly rising aura stalled.
Dormammu continued solemnly, "Each of those Archmages was a terrifying being whose might shook the Multiverse. Tony brought three of them to beg me to grant him Power."
"At that time, he was just a Mortal, not even a Demigod. The great Lord Dormammu's heart couldn't bear it. I soundly defeated the three Archmages he relied upon, but mercifully spared him and granted him the mighty Power of Ascension to Demigod!"
"Without the greater me, Dormammu, there would be no great New God today!"
"Therefore, you little thing, I will grant you the special boon of calling me by my other name—"
Pausing, Dormammu looked around at the silent surroundings. Even the air seemed to tremble faintly. All was still, as if fearing the truth he was about to reveal, a truth buried by history.
Dormammu's expression was incomparably solemn, filled with an indescribable majesty and grandeur. He suddenly lowered his voice, making it countless times quieter than the buzz of a mosquito, yet it somehow carried a feeling of screaming at the top of his lungs.
"Yes, you can call me—Grandpa!!!"
Boom!
A sudden, chilling Killing Intent crashed down. The entire ground shook, gravity exploded, and the two braggarts were violently yanked downwards. An invisible pressure slammed down with a deafening bang, and both Duzun and Dormammu, the two daredevils, were smashed flat into the Underground.
The terrifyingly hard super-alloy was like tofu, easily pierced through as Duzun and Dormammu were driven into the ground like cannonballs.
"You two, do you really think I don't dare to kill you?!!"
Tony could no longer bear it. His voice, suppressed to the absolute limit, was filled with chilling Rage.
These two bastards... their entire conversation had fucking spread across all of Cybertron by now!!
