Chapter 7001

Chapter 681: Sector 2814

October 19, 2022 Author: Great Demon Spirit

From the moment they entered Cybertron, Tomar-Re and Kilowog felt an extremely uncomfortable aura.

The feeling was subtle, coming out of nowhere, making them wonder if it was just a hallucination.

Kilowog, being carefree, didn't take this feeling seriously, but Tomar-Re had been fixated on it from the start.

"Optimus Prime, have you begun studying the Emotional Spectrum?" Tomar-Re asked directly.

Optimus Prime paused, then nodded: "We started researching it a few years ago, and progress has been unexpectedly smooth. We have indeed mastered some of the Emotional Spectrum's Power."

Of the seven Common Light Lantern Rings, Cybertron had already seized the Yellow of Fear, the Red of Rage, and the Green of Willpower. If they wished, they could take it from the Green Lantern Corps at any time.

As for the Orange of Avarice, Starscream had secretly left Cybertron years ago, tracking the whereabouts of the Controllers, biding his time to seize the Orange Lantern Ring. This was because no one on Cybertron was more suitable for the job than Starscream; the Orange Lantern Ring would be highly partial to him.

Regarding the Blue of Compassion, when Abin Sur was still alive, he secretly supported the Blue Lantern Corps and sealed the Blue Lantern Ring within the Tribe. The secret location of the Blue Lantern Corps was stored in Optimus Prime's mind.

The Blue of Hope had not yet appeared.

The Violet of Love was also dormant.

Most of the Various Colored Lantern Rings had directly or indirectly fallen into Cybertron's hands. They only needed to wait for Interstellar Annihilation to end, for the Annihilation Bug Race to be driven back to the Negative Zone, and for the Spectrum War to erupt. Then, Tony would immediately capture the seven Lantern Entities, excluding Parallax, and seize the Black and White cheat-level lanterns.

Afterward, they would find a way to awaken First Lantern Volthoom, who was imprisoned by the Guardians in the Phantom Cabinet, and seize the First Lantern.

Cybertron would control ten of the twelve main Power Rings. Most of the superb Energy of the Emotional Spectrum, which was no less than the Omega Effect and even faintly comparable to the Anti-Life Equation, would be firmly controlled by Cybertron, giving them absolute dominance.

This was a well-established plan, and Optimus Prime knew it well. In the future, he would also become one of the executors responsible for seizing the Various Colored Lantern Rings.

The Infinity Stones and the Emotional Spectrum were the easiest high-Level Powers to access and master, and Cybertron would definitely not let go of these two Powers.

Before leaving the Omniverse, they had to exhaust all means to enhance their Power, to face the countless Monsters in the Sphere of the Gods.

Optimus Prime looked at his two close friends and said solemnly: "You must have sensed the Aura of Fear. Fear is the natural enemy of Willpower."

"Although it was subtle, I indeed detected it." Tomar-Re picked up his teacup, gently sniffed the beverage, and instantly found relevant information about it from the Green Lantern Ring on his hand. Then, he calmly took a sip.

The Green Lantern Ring was not only a battle Artifact but also a supercomputer that imparted knowledge. Every Lantern, as long as they wore a Green Lantern Ring, could be considered the top scholar in the entire Universe, intimately familiar with the races and customs of billions of planets.

Optimus Prime directly shoved a piece of super Energy crystal into his mouth, crunching on it with a "ga-beng ga-beng" sound, finding it incredibly fragrant.

He didn't drink tea; he ate energon cubes.

Kilowog gulped down his tea, chewing the teacup along with it, and mumbled, "We've received news that Galactus was taken down by someone wearing a Red Power Ring."

"That was a Red Lantern of Rage, from a Parallel Universe, not a native of the Main Universe." Optimus Prime said.

Kilowog burped, completely unconcerned.

They had been fighting against the Anti-Matter Universe for hundreds of millions of years, and their understanding of Parallel Universes surpassed everyone's imagination.

Tomar-Re said, "It seems your research on the Fear Lantern Ring is also complete... The Guardians must be getting restless. Let me guess, is Parallax imprisoned on this planet?"

Optimus Prime nodded openly.

"That's just insane..." Kilowog muttered.

Tomar-Re stroked his Power Ring, falling into thought.

The Guardians must be listening to him now. What he knew, the Guardians must also know, but they were powerless to act...

Tomar-Re did not know the contents of the Book of Prophecy, so he had no strong opinions about the appearance of other types of Power Rings. However, for the Guardians on Oa, it was undoubtedly explosive information.

As for how they would respond, or if they would resort to underhanded tactics as they had in the past, that remained unknown for now.

The Spectrum War was inevitable; its eruption was only a matter of time.

The Spectrum War was merely a prelude, and the Civil War of the seven Common Light Lantern Corps was just a small rehearsal for the even more tragic Blackest Night.

After they conversed for a while longer, Tomar-Re silently noted every word Optimus Prime spoke, trying to analyze its deeper meaning, before unhurriedly saying, "We came this time because we want you to wear the Green Lantern Ring again."

Having said that, Tomar-Re opened his hand to reveal a green Power Ring.

This was not his or Kilowog's Power Ring, but one brought directly from Oa.

Optimus Prime fell silent.

"This is your Power Ring. It always belonged to you. Apart from the Guardians, no one has touched this Power Ring in years." Tomar-Re extended his hand forward. "We need a reliable leader, and no one is more suitable than you."

"Without orders from the Guardians, it's difficult for me to gain credibility. Besides, I possess a Yellow Lantern Ring."

"That doesn't matter. If the Guardians haven't stopped it, they've acquiesced. As for the Yellow Lantern Ring, don't worry about it. You'll still be a Green Lantern Corpsman once you wear this Power Ring," Tomar-Re said.

Kilowog said in a deep voice, "The Green Lantern Corps has already moved towards Sector 2814. War is imminent. Can you truly be at ease if you don't come in person?"

The Guardians divided the entire Universe into 3600 Sectors. The Milky Way Galaxy and the Andromeda Galaxy were located in Sector 2814. Similarly, Sector 2814 was the most severely afflicted by the Annihilation Bug Race.

The Green Lantern Corps' lowest strategic objective was to contain the Annihilation Bug Race within Sector 2814, which contained hundreds of thousands of galaxies.

Optimus Prime stared fixedly at the two of them, slowly extended his hand, grasped the small Power Ring, and put it on his finger.

A massive green light construct erupted from the Power Ring, instantly enveloping Optimus Prime and covering his body with a green Battle Suit that radiated a soft glow.

"I will once again lead the Green Lantern Corps and suppress the Annihilation Bug Race," Optimus Prime said in a deep voice.

He wasn't speaking to Tomar-Re and Kilowog, but to the Power Ring, to the seven Guardians on the other end of the Power Ring, and even more so, to nearly four thousand Green Lantern Corpsmen.

His voice echoed throughout the entire Green Lantern Corps; Optimus Prime's voice resonated from every Power Ring.

This was a declaration of his return. After four years, Optimus Prime once again took up the Green Lantern Ring, taking what rightfully belonged to him.

Faintly, countless voices seemed to respond to him through the Power Ring, cheering his return.
